6/10 Good

OK place!

An OK place for a good price. Get what you pay for. Some "interesting" people hanging around the hotel - so obv something going on. But we had no problems or bad encounters. all in all you get what you pay for and we had 4 decent days at the hotel. Maybe not so suitable for families/kids - but no problem for 2 young couples...

2/10 Poor

Not very Accomodating

There were bugs in the microwave and there were also dirty pillows. Won't be going there again. Also, the neighborhood is quite trashy. Stay away from this place

8/10 Very good

Hotel was decent but don't feed the humans

The hotel itself was okay, but I was told by someone that the upper level rooms were much worse than the first floor where I stayed. The hotel keeper at the front desk was very friendly and I was pleased with my room. The bed was not comfortable and the TV had a lot of trouble keeping signal but it was alright because the AC and WIFI worked perfectly and to me that is more important. I was bothered several times by the surrounding inhabitants. A homeless couple guilt tripped me for food when I was on my way into Jack int he Box next door, which I did buy them a meal. I hope I don't sound cruel but I am not wealthy myself and it isn't as though I can afford to buy meals for strangers when I'm trying to pinch every penny. The convenience store was just next door to the hotel but was a disgusting mess with loitering thugs just hanging out for no apparent reason. The surrounding area was just terrible and frightening at night, but the hotel itself is well-lit and I did feel safe inside the hotel itself.

Disappointed

Cost minimum of $12 for taxi cab to or from hotel into Nashville. Doing excursions - bus company would not come to this hotel or drop off either.

Move on and choose another location/Hotel.......

We checked in. looked a bit sketchy from the outside/neighborhood. We got in, the bathroom was missing the T.P. holder, the T.P. sitting on the shower tub. Bathroom ceiling was still in a state of "repair"/disrepair. Room door took a bit of force to open. going in it's fine, but if you have to get out in a hurry, forget it. Did not look like the image on the Hotels.com site. Did not feel safe/clean. We cancelled the three nights there and went elsewhere.

Regency Inn and Suites

The hotel was not in a very nice part of town and from the outside it was shady. The inside was not as bad as the outside and the service was very friendly.

Single Overnight Stay

I was traveling by myself and was looking for a clean, inexpensive, overnight stay as I passed through Nashville. This hotel was a perfect fit...

8/10 Very good

Close to downtown!

Staff was awesome. As soon as we checked in they got us a cab (they have their own guy they use) rooms were clean. And close to downtown. It's not the hilton but it was great for 50 a night!

Convenient Location

Easy check in and out. When I travel I only need a place to put my stuff and sleep. This place did it for me. The location is convenient has a restaurant, gas station, jack in the box waffle house in case you need a quick snack. Friendly staff have no complaints.

2/10 Poor

Perfect (if you are homeless... Seeking shelter)

First- the location was not safe... A jail bus was parked across the street with inmates wandering around. Next, this is a 70's motel! The tv, tub, bedding, ect was dated. The beds did not have fitted sheets and we had four guest booked and only two towels provided. I was in shock and very dissapointed to say the least!

a dump

this hotel should have been closed years ago. In a bad part of town with very bad security. Room had poor lighting, terrible rugs. the only good thing about this hotel was it had hot water in the shower.

2/10 Poor

Cheap, close to downtown, hospitals

Clean, if worn, serviceable place to spend the night. Close to town, right by interstate, fast food next door. I was surprised given the neighborhood. If you are looking for luxury perfection, this is not it. This place is worn and ratty but clean, cheap and convenient. It didn't have an iron in the room, but it had an all-night market next door and I needed that more than an iron or hair dryer. Fast internet.

Not great...

I arrived to recently updated exterior of the hotel... As the description describes a renovation in 2010... I believe it was likely only the exterior as the interior definitely didn't imply that they had done anything to the rooms and inside of the hotel... The neighborhood isn't great either... The staff was nice and hospitable even when they didn't have my reservation when I arrived... But they accommodated me and gave me a room for the three days I had originally booked... As far as the interior the floor was rather dirty and the walls were old with a bit of paint chipping... The bathroom was the worse as there was black mold of some sort all over and the vent above the shower was hanging down slightly with a coating of some kind of black material... mold or something? There was really a lacking of a shower head as there was just a pipe coming out of the wall like something on the outside of a house... The water did have decent pressure but the pipe was a bit low for an average sized male as I had to bend down to wash my hair... We also had a roach that made a few appearances as we failed to kill it at various times... The staff did clean our room and make our bed every day... The hotel would be fine for an overnight stay and if you didn't plan on hanging in the room long... As we only stayed there late at night as we were busy during the day... They also allowed us a late checkout on the last day as we had overslept which was nice and accommodating... I would not recommended this hotel unless you received an insane deal... otherwise it might be tolerable...

Good Economical Option

This place is perfect for anyone wanting a cheap stay in Nashville that's not too far from the attractions. There are very few if any frills, but the staff is friendly and helpful. We were actually upgraded to a king suite for free upon arrival!

NASTY,DISGUSTING!! STAY AWAY!!

We got into town in the middle of the night and stopped at regency. The lady that checked us in was nice.We went upstairs to our room and is was horrible. The ceiling in the bathroom was falling in and there was mold everywhere. When you sat on the toilet something leaked from ceiling and would hit you. There was blood on the sheets. The mattesses had stains on them from where they had been wet.Dead roaches on the ac unit.Overall the room was just dirty and dusty.I did go down to frontdesk and asked for money back for the next two days that i had prepaid for and they did return my money so i was only stuck with paying for the one night (which they didnt discount)While i was talking to the lady and telling her how bad the room was and she was telling me how they dont have problems with roaches,a roach crawled up the sliding window between us and she said "oh i've been trying to get him". REALLY!! I spoke with manager the next day who said normally the dont put out of towners in that room.I would not recommend this place to anyone!

Ok for a stop off

Hotel is ok but no good for public transport or for going out for a walk. Right on a big junction.

2/10 Poor

Not worthy of a whole star.

Do NOT go here. It's definitely not a place for a family to stay. It's in a VERY bad part of Nashville. I was told by a local that it's a place where prostitutes go and drug deals happen.

Do Not Stay Here

Spend the extra $20.00 and stay next door at the Howard Johnson. I was not expecting the Ritz Carlton but from the reviews I thought it would be okay...wrong! The hotel looked okay from the outside but once you got inside it was dark, smelly and dingy. The "non-smoking" room was obviously smoking at one time and never cleaned. The shower was disgusting, there was no shower head...the water shot out like a fire hose. The tile was cracked and we couldn't tell if it was mold or black backing. There were hairs on our towels. The linens had blood stains on them...not kidding. The place was just gross. Also, there were some questionable characters staying at the hotel, screaming obsenitites at 3am. The staff was very nice but that was the only positive of the whole experience.
