The location of this property was the only pleasant attribute to our experience. Our room that we reserved for was turned in to us 2 hours after initial check in time (5 pm), and to our surprise it was FILTHY. The room looked nothing like the online pictures and was un sanitized, uncleaned, it literally looked like there was a party the night before and that’s how it was turned in to us. I had initially called at12pm and spoke to someone who assured me that the room would be ready by 3:30. I had communicated to this property the moment I arrived for concerns and accommodations, leaving 2 voice calls and yet still no reply. The property advertised there being a ‘welcome gift upon arrival’ but the only gift we received was a horrible experience. When they decided to contact us, it was only via text and still did not answer our concerns. They gave us the next available room and still ignored our requests. They have a really strict late policy $50 for every 15 min late yet they declined to answer our questions when we asked what about when the property turns in a room late? This property was not well maintained and was honestly the worst experience I’ve ever had. Never again! Waste of time and money.

Although I enjoyed my stay, I feel I need to be transparent since had I known all of the details of the room and how much was wrong with it I likely would not have booked this suite. First, I have to clarify that the reason I still enjoyed my stay had more to do with the person I was with than the actual room itself. With that being said, the reason I would not book this suite again is for all of the unlisted defects the room has, from the broken chair, to the grainy tv, to the shaky ceiling fan with a missing plank, to the thermostat that doesn’t seem to control anything since the heating comes from the fireplace. All things we could over look but something I could not get over was all of the questionable stains on the furniture, I didn’t notice any on the bed but the ones on the other furniture made me question what stains there were underneath the sheets, we didn’t look. The remote also didn’t seem to work which ended up being fine since we just used the buttons on the tv and our own devices anyway. The host seemed nice enough when we brought up the remote issue which makes me believe that maybe they aren’t aware of the other problems? I’m not sure if they are just things that are overlooked but they definitely aren’t mentioned when you book and had I been aware I would have booked the lodge we stayed in previously instead. I will say however, the hot tub and fireplace seemed to work fine enough.

Weekend Getaway

Check-in and Check-out were easy. The unit was nice for a quick getaway. One of the justs we're broken on the tub and a few of the pipes were loose. Still a great unit with lots to offer.

Location close to Village was great but it felt like being on the freeway with the traffic noise and fire station. Needs attention as the heater was broken, coffee maker broken, bathroom door broken, nothing on the TV but LA news and no options, no glasses, plates, etc and two towels,thin ones, was it. Stated romantic with a welcome drink and reality was no atmosphere and not even a bottle of water.

There were no curtains so the porch light shone through the blinds. Then the lights under the spa couldn't be turned off. Had to stack pillows up to make a wall and block the light. Looked for something to cover the window but nothing When I booked the room I was excited that there was a spa in the room. That excitement was short lived when I turned the jets on and dry brown flakes were released into the water. Needless to say I didn't feel comfortable using it after that. Then in the middle of the night the smoke detector goes off needing the batteries changed. Wow, did I sleep at all...and I haven't even mentioned how uncomfortable the bed was! The memory foam mattress was so hard it was like sleeping on the floor. I woke up with a backache. The wall thermostat was open exposing wires. They thought painters tape would hold it closed lol. Yeah thats safe 🙄. They made sure I received the 11am checkout email stating theres a $50 late fee for every 15min past 11am but I had to contact them for the checkin info. A fee every 15min! , did not know this before booking, thats ridiculous and wouldnt have stayed at a place that nickle and dimes me. They said it was for cleaning purposes. Sure as heck didnt clean my place that great as I mentioned the dirty spa before plus hair all over the shower wall. The ceramic cups were turned upright collecting dirt and there was no dish detergent to clean them. I didnt feel safe using them. At motel 6 I would've had a better experience.
