It’s exactly what I needed a few blocks from the station at my budget price. Everything was recently renovated brand, new clean and functioning and the location to walk. The entire city in a day was perfect and there’s luggage storage on the next block after you check out because this is not a full service hotel. There’s no front desk but everything was perfect.
This was a big room, actually a triple on the corner
And the bathroom was quite large

When I booked this room on Hotels.com I was under the impression that it was a real hotel. Didn’t discover until my arrival that it was actually an apartment that had been converted into a so called hotel room. The most challenging drawback was gaining access to the building and room. You have to call the number listed and have someone meet you in front of the building with the keys. The guy didn’t speak any English and I don’t speak Italian. I had to have someone from the previous hotel I was staying at call for me so they could communicate in Italian and we set up a specific time for my arrival. There is no sign on the outside of the building indicating any hotel so it was difficult to find. During my stay I discovered that the shower drain was not properly draining. I had to take a very quick shower so that the water didn’t raise over the basin and flood the bathroom. I reported this issue to management via WhatsApp, but received no response and it never got fixed. I would not stay at this property again.

This was an absolutely terrible stay. I arrived at the property and effectively did not exist, I had to ask at a local cafeteria, where the address was because there was simply no signage on the door. When I got into the location finally after an hour of waiting around, several things became apparent. First there was a shared bathroom, which I did not see as listed when I reserve the room. Number two there was no bed, there was only a fold out couch, again, not detailed on the listing. I immediately set a note regarding the problem with the Wi-Fi and I got a cryptic response basically saying that they would come fix it. All I needed was Wi-Fi password and after two days, they still couldn’t do it despite multiple request. Finally, the lights in the room did not work other than one bedside lamp. I hope no one will ever book this place again and I hope that Hotels.com will do a better job of vetting their properties before allowing guests to have such a horrible experience. I’m formally requesting a refund.

It is close to the train station, which was the main reason we chose this place and was very convenient. Communication with the host was somewhat sketchy. I sent the message thru hotels.com, which was not responded. The host sent a message in Italian thru WhatsApp for check-in on the day we were arriving. I did not see the message until I arrived in front of the building since I do not regularly check the WhatsApp, so y called her. The host said someone was coming in two minutes, but he came almost 20 minutes later. But more serious problem was that we had to use the shared bathroom, even though we never saw the other guests. We did not sleep on bed, but sleeper sofa. There were mosquitoes in the room the first night. We asked for the mosquito killers but heard that mosquito net is on the glass door toward the balcony. In sum, there was so much discrepancy between what's on the app and the reality.
