Class reunion in St,Charles, IL

Hotel clean but too much carpet fresh smell in the rooms. Bathroom, bedroom and linens were great. Thank you, Housekeeping! It was a very quiet place to stay. No-smoking hotel but you could smell cigarette smoke in the hallway at night. My air conditioner in room 222 never worked correctly - I set it at 68 when I arrived at 430pm - it was hot when I came back at 1015pm. 80 degrees outside! No front desk staff to complain to. Set it down to 62 and finally some cooling by morning.

The entire building had a very strong odor and felt damp. The carpeting and walls in my room had vomit stains. Air intake in hallway was full of dust and dirt. Carpeting in hallways were heavily stained.

Overall i had a nice weekend stay. The staff were very friendly the room was clean. My only complaint was that i paid for and reserved a Double Queen room and was given a single bed room. I did not complain. After driving 5 hrs i did not want to move everything and go back downstairs to change everything. I was exhausted.

I was very disappointed that there was no bedside tables and no chair to sit in to watch tv only a desk chair. The walls in the bathroom weren't very clean looked like something splattered on the bottom half in the bathroom. Gardener was outside my window at 0700 in the morning making a ton of noise unloading red wood chip mulch and spreading it all around then ran the leaf blower for quite a while. Not a place I'd care to stay at again.
