This place was amazing. Unfortunately we only stayed one night since they were booked for the other nights we needed. The views are amazing, breakfast was delicious, and the rooms were decorated nicely. It is a steep three block walk up the street to the hotel but it was good exercise after eating all the good food.

In general stay was good. Small issues - to get hot water need to wait at least 10 minutes. Internet was interrupted from time to time.They would need more tables in a kitchen, as sometimes they have too many guests and no enough space for everybody. Have to wait to take my seat.

Adequate but would never stay here again
The experience of staying here was adequate but seriously lacking in various ways, especially given the price. There was nothing even remotely resembling a concierge service; perhaps that’s asking too much from a Mexican hotel. And the lack of coverage at the front desk was, in my mind, completely unacceptable. Most folks at the desk did not speak English! You do get old world charm here but that comes with many features that cry out for better maintenance and updating. We would not stay here again. There are many better options in Puerto Vallarta for the price. The continental breakfast I guess met the definition of a continental breakfast but just barely. Coffee, a fruit plate and two pieces of toasted white Wonder bread with butter and jam. I am accustomed to continental breakfasts with a lot more options, including various pastries, especially in a hotel in this price range. A serious concern of mine was egress in the event of a fire. The path to many rooms (including our own) is very circuitous (up stairs and then down stairs and then travelling to an adjacent building via a small bridge). The front desk confirmed that the only way of egressing from the building was from the single point of entry (which dangerously requires a key!) . If that path were blocked for any reason, one would be out of luck. I got a chance to look at the room beneath ours and because it was closer to the street, the windows were covered with bars. That would make me very nervous.

traumatizing
Traumatizing. The property is barely staffed & it's always difficult to find somebody to help. in and out through key pads like a self service bnb. My room reeked of intensely perfumed chemical cleaning products - I could not be in the room during the day and at night it was still so bad that I tried to find a different hotel and move. I was not able to and finally reached somebody on the hotels website and they offered to move me to another room. that room smelled of mothballs. There were lewd noises in the lounge, and then some drunk person was violently vomiting all night long and it must have been echoing throughout the hotel. I cancelled my second night and when asked for a refund for the first night they refused to be in touch with hotels.com and so I simply have to pay because they won't talk to anybody about it. horrible experience. some places just go downhill fast and this is definitely one of them. do not stay here.

Buyer beware! We had to leave the property 30 minutes after checking in, due to the fact the hotel grossly misrepresented their rooms! What we saw on Expedia was NOTHING like what we encountered in person. The first room they took us to was up two flights of spiral stairs and had a palapa roof which they deemed as "air conditioning". The bathroom had mold on the wall as well. We complained and the front desk attendant called his manager, and then took us to another room. It was just OK, but at least had AC which is what the booking on Expedia said. The room he put my sister and her husband in was AWFUL and pretty much in the basement. The hotel was full and they had no other rooms to give us. Also, there are numerous small ponds in the hotel, which had standing water that looked dirty -- a breeding ground for mosquitoes! Lastly, the roof desk infinity pool is more like a dipping pool. It is narrow and maybe 20' long. More for cooling off, not swimming. We were so disappointed. With no manager on site, we had no choice but to leave and go to a hotel better suited to our taste and expectations.

El hotel tiene una vista hermosa desde la piscina (que está en el último piso del hotel), adicional a ciertos pisos donde está un área común con cocina y tiene una vista maravillosa! Las habitaciones son bellas, pero les hace falta un poco de mantenimiento (específicamente el baño), la atención de los trabajadores muy buena, siempre al pendiente de nosotros! Sin duda volveremos (solo el acceso a la propiedad sobre la calle es un poco complicado)

Corazon Dos is in the basement of the property. There are 52 stairs to get out to the street. The "courtyard" was not usable. It is dark and dusty. I believe Corazon Dos is intended for the staff not guests. YouTube portrays it as beautiful...that might apply to the upper rooms but do not book Corazon Dos.

Loved the Estrella room. Our own private pool, air conditioning worked great, king comfortable bed & pillows, friendly staff, beautiful view. Quiet, and comfortable. Close to everything. Very steep. We loved it there. Felt pampered. Couldn’t eat free breakfast as we are keto. Coffee was watered down. Would be back in a heartbeat!
