A little lower I expected
I stayed at this hotel three nights in the last week of November, 2016. Considering room price I paid, I was little dissatisfied with room amenities and air conditioner (ie, there was no facial tissues. A room was hot and no temperature changed even I turned lower the room temperature set. A window was kept opened when I returned my room at night. It supposed that a house keeper left the window opened after he/she cleaned my room.). The breakfast was included in the charge of room; menu of breakfast was same everyday. Since I joined the sightseeing tours everyday (left the room before 8am and came back around 9pm), this hotel was okay for just using a bed.

Great rooms and staff, but no pool or views!
Novus City definitely seems to be one of the nicer hotels in the area, and the staff were really friendly and helpful, seemingly genuinely wanting to make sure our stay was good. The room (we had an executive room on the 6th floor) was spacious, clean, quiet and had a lovely comfy bed. With a couple of extra chairs and plenty of space for 2 people to put their bags and clothes, it made a nice change from most hotels where there's usually barely space for 1 person! There were a few disappointing aspects though, that I feel were rather misleading from the website... Rooms are listed as having city views, but there are non-opening blinds on all the windows, and even if you peek out the cracks, the "city view" in our higher-floor room was a wall and a bus park between us and the next building. The shower in the huge bathroom was broken, so had to be held by hand instead of the "monsoon shower" it was listed as. There was also no extractor fan so it steamed up very quickly in there and towels didn't really dry. The biggest disappointment, however, was the roof terrace and pool, which were one of the main factors for us choosing this hotel. The pool was completely closed and drained for the winter, and in fact absolutely tiny anyway. We couldn't even sit by it and enjoy the view because the area was chained off. The roof terrace - with the lovely views of the city and Acropolis - was closed when it rained but then not opened hours later when it was fine. A great shame!

Lovely hotel, nice small pool at the roof and very helpful staff for me and my daughter. Many homeless people around but they did not create any problems or uneasy atmosphere. We can only recommend this place.

Very nice and clean hotel. The staff was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable and the restaurant has excellent food. The pool is on the rooftop and you get a stunning view of the Acropolis from far away, as well as around Athens. The location is less than 5 minutes walk to the hop on/hop off bus stop. Overall we had a good stay 🙂

Good location close to the metro and just 20 min walk to Plaka. It’s nothing to do/see in the area and the surrounding streets are not soo nice. The roof top bar, restaurant and pool area is small but the view is great.

Hotel is ok but the area is very bad
Nice little hotel, how it got 4 stars is unclear to me however. It is good value for money, well located on rhe face of it. The staff is also very nice. But the area is really not nice, 50m away are several streets with a lot of homeless people ans druggies (seringes on the floor etc). I would not stay there again for this reason

Super god service på hotellet. Meget venligt personale. Hotellets roof top bar og pool giver en flot udsigt over byen. Området er dog ramt af mange hjemløse, misbrugere m.v., så man skal tænke sig om hvor man går efter mørkets frembrud.

Hotel i slumkvarter
Slidt hotel. Fugtskade i badeværelsesloftet som lugtede af mug. Gulvet i værelset løst flere steder. Man skal være bevidst om, at hotellet ligger i et slumkvarter og få gader fra hotellet flyder det bogstavlietalt med misbrugere og der lugter kraftigt af affald og urin.
