I had booked a twin room-double bed with sofa bed, but was given a double room.
We were told that the hotel was full and nothing could be done. The double bed pulled apart into 2 singles but the bedside tables were fixed to the wall so one bed ended up in the middle of the room, no headboard, no bedside table making the room much smaller to walk around and manage our bags.
A staff member came up to the room to check that we were happy which we expressed that we were not for the price we'd paid-this was supposed to be a lovely break for 2 friends to enjoy and we had paid more to stay here only for us to have a smaller room than paid for and one be in the middle of the room. We were offered an apology but nothing by the way of resolution or recompense which is not good enough.
Breakfast was very good as we'd experienced on previous stays, but didn't make up for the room experience and lack of customer service to resolve the room which is 95% of the stay!
