Lovely
We stayed for a Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday night. The hotel is a couple blocks off of the main drag, which was perfect. We were on the ground floor, but it was very quiet. Parking was included, which was appreciated. Although the room was small, it was thoughtfully laid out. It had a small kitchenette and a closet that actually had enough hangers. I thought it was very considerate that they included face wipes and tar wipes for your feet. Our room was on the ground level, but there was nobody above us. We were able to park the car directly in front of our room. Some of the other rooms have a little tables outside along the stream that runs behind the hotel. We would definitely stay here again.

The room was an overwhelming beige but comfortable and cozy enough for a short getaway. Parking was easy, the minimal-effort checkin/checkout very nice, and the rooftop garden was lovely to spend time on.

Exceptionally clean room with spacious bathroom, a lot of cabinet storage, and kitchenette facilities. Slippers, makeup wipes, boxed water, coffee / tea selection, and locking safe are all nice amenities. The bed was firm but comfortable. Exterior rooms get plenty of sunshine and the skylight provided additional natural light. It was the cleanliness of the room that was the highlight though. Everything was spotless and immaculate which was soooo appreciated.

Excellent
I travel to Santa Barbara on business for a few days three or four times a year. This is the best place I’ve found to stay so far. Very clean, modern with cooking facilities. Well located for both State Street and the freeway. Bed is comfortable, shower is good and WiFi works. No reception, you are given a code to get into your room prior to arrival, but the team are very quick to respond to e-mail. Can’t fault this place.

Our long weekend stay was great. We like how modern the property was and it has the vibe of an Airbnb in terms of the keyless entry to our unit. We did have a slight hiccup getting into our unit but we managed to get in and the number we called was very helpful in resetting the code which fixed the problem.

To start off the parking was on property. No check in was easy and convenient. Walkable to any dining options. Room was modern clean and had a full kitchen which is always nice as well a two on suites. Highly recommend.

This is a lovely, recently remodeled hotel. The capacious studio room was outstanding. It was cleverly partitioned into a livingroom area, a kitchen/dining area and king bedroom area. The king bed was very comfortable. I think it was topped with a memory foam mattress. All spotlessly clean. A couple chairs and a table were found in both the living and dining areas. The kitchen was adequately stocked with plates, bowls, cups for our breakfast, which we ate in each morning. The State Street retail/restaurant area was lively, and an easy walk of just a few blocks for our dinners. Easy parking on-site. There is a rooftop lounging area, so make sure you locate those stairs and go up with a bottle of wine to savor the sunset. Lots of comfortable lounging chairs and tables up there. Easy on-site parking. Even though there is no front desk, room entry was easy with a combination. Cell phone communication with the hosts was easy and they are attentive to questions and concerns. We definitely will stay here again!

A 4 star Air BnB without hotel services
Clean and quiet with a very comfortable bed. Very good downtown location is near to restaurants and shopping. The listing is somewhat deceptive. This is a very nice Air BnB type property; for anyone who has done any international or domestic travel, this is not 5 star hotel. There is no staff on sight. All communication is done via text, email or phone. The room, while nice, has issues when compared to simarly priced properties. The bathroom is small. Oddly there is only one light switch for the entire room so kitchen area and bedroom area are brightly lit on one switch with only two minimal lights by bedside. Box water is just bad tasting. It was a surprise to arrive and find out that no staff was on site and that rooms would not be cleaned daily. They should do a better job of communicating this. Our room safe didn't function but no onsidte maintenance staff to fix it. All in all, a clean, pleasant room but I expected more of a hotel experience for $275 a night as depicted by their photos. Next visit to SB and we will pay a bit more to stay in a larger, full-service property.

This is a beautiful new property. The rooms are stylish and clean. If you are looking for a place to just sleep, this hotel is perfect (no pool, spa or restaurant). After hours, there is no one from the office who picks up the phone so make sure that you get all your questions answered during the day.

Comfortable stay
We had a wonderful stay to Casa de la Vina. The room was beautifully arranged and well appointed with everything we needed throughout the trip. There was ample parking and the location is extremely walkable to downtown and the beach side. We will stay again next time we are in Santa Barbara!

If it is available, stay here. This is the most thoughtfully and comprehensively equipped apartment I’ve ever rented. It is also beautiful and comfortable, with large bedrooms and huge bathrooms. It has a great location for exploring downtown Santa Barbara on foot. I can’t say enough good things about our stay.

Great stay for the Santa Barbara half marathon last weekend. Bed was super comfortable and the location was perfect for a quick walk to the race. Kitchen is super convenient for those with a longer stay, although we opted to explore and eat out this time. Would definitely stay again!
