Maintenance staff in my room without me knowing
They let me check in early in the morning which I really appreciated. Very good service of the young lady at the reception. The next day I had a really bad experience when entering my room literally 2 minutes after having left it and found a male staff in there, apparently to fix some problem. I had all of my stuff laying around including valuables as I took for granted only I would enter that room. I tried to explain that I found it really inappropriate that they entered without my permission. I had been in the room all morning and left 10.15 so they could have easily knocked on the door while I was there. He explained that he was just following orders. The hotel manager came up a while later but no apology or explanation (as the first guy did all the talking), not even a free dinner for the discomfort and mistrust I was left with. I was later told that their policy says that they can’t enter unless they’ve knocked on the door several times without anyone opening. I was surprised that their policy doesn’t say “we don’t enter without client’s permission or at least without letting them know, unless it’s an emergency”. I just went down the lobby but found that breakfast was taken away so went straight up again; they could so easily have found me if they wanted to. And they had my phone number so could easily have called me too.

Just OK
Once I arrived I was told the pool was out of service and that I should have received an email, but I didn’t. The room was fairly clean, but the bathroom could have used a little extra attention. The shower walls were were visibly covered with blonde hair. There is very little storage space with no microwave or iron in the room. Also, I couldn’t properly adjust the thermostat in the room so it remained too cold for my liking. The breakfast spread was pretty good and staff was polite, although not overly helpful with helping you with excursions.

I’d Return!
I stayed 5 days; the hotel was clean and staff was friendly. The hall lights were on a sensor saved electricity but annoying for the guest. This was my second unintentional stay. This means that I choose this hotel on two separate occasions because of the price and amnesties. The rooftop was under renovations so I didn’t get to enjoy the pool. The air conditioning in the gym did not work. All in all. I would return again. Free breakfast was great. Since there was no microwave or coffee in the rooms. It would have been nice if the hotel provided free coffee.

Wonderful Hotel and Staff
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Mio. Stayed one night when I first arrived in Panama and booked a 3-night stay upon leaving Panama. The customer service was excellent. The room was clean, beds were comfortable, TV had many channels and the restaurant was excellent. It has a gym and pool on the rooftop. Everyone was so accommodating and made sure we were well taken care of. The staff had a way of making the guest feel special. The hotel location is on a side street off of a much busier street so people may not know it's there. The cost is less than some of the hotels on the busy street. We will be returning to Panama City in a few months, and we already plan to stay at Hotel Mio again.

Hotel bem localizado, próximo a restaurantes e cassino. O metrô também fica próximo. Na minha opinião falta melhorar o "business center" e tirar o "coentro como tempero" de alguns itens do café da manhã. Preço da estadia Ok. O pessoal que trabalha no hotel é muito amável e receptivo.

Don't Sleep on Hotel Mio
Hotel Mio was reasonably priced and my stay was great. The staff were very helpful and extremely accommodating. The rooms were simple but clean. The food in the restaurant was excellent. I have to return to the city in two weeks and I've already made my reservation at Hotel Mio.

While in Panama, I stayed at Hotel Mio. Its located in Panama city, around lots of restaurants, stores and strip malls. Very easy to get anywhere from this hotel. KFC located on the corner. The hotel itself is visually appealing, clean, smelled good, room was nice sized, bed and pillows were VERY comfortable, tv was in spanish tho, there was a nice rooftop with a pool, gym, and great views of the city. Staff was delightful. A light breakfast was provided free daily, and there is a nice little restaurant in the lobby connected to the hotel. Parking is also available. I'd advise you to Uber. El hotel es bueno, el personal amable y la habitación era cómoda; no obstante, de las tres noches que estuve hospedado, dos noches sonó la alarma contra incendios en el hotel en varios momentos, cuando fui a la recepción a preguntar para saber que sucedía sólo atinaban a responder que era algo habitual y lo consideraban normal que sonara pero que no había motivo de preocupación. El hotel es bonito y tiene todo para competir contra hoteles de cadena, y de mayor renombre, sin embargo la situación que me tocó experimentar con la alarma sonando en el transcurso de la noche no me hizo sentir ni seguro ni tranquilo. De verdad, espero que sólo haya sido esas noches y no se trate de algo constante. Fuera de esa situación, el hotel es recomendable.

Llegábamos de haber perdido la conexión de vuelo a mi destino final y solo queríamos dormir era aprox 12 de la madrugada y debíamos salir muy temprano para estar en el aeropuerto al vuelo y justo en esa hora se pusieron hacer el arreglo de alarmas e hicieron demasiado ruido prácticamente toda la noche
