Arrival at 1:30am, no one in office on-duty to check us in. Manager was out in the rear parking lot observing five Deputy Sheriffs arrest people for doing drugs in their cars. Inside our room by 3:00am, housekeeping had not completed the room opting instead to leave a pile of linens and towels on the bed. After putting on our own pillowcases and hanging towels, we were looking forward to the free breakfast. We certainly got what we paid for. There were two cold cereals, packs of instant oats, and crackers. This Sam's Club special had no juices, fruit, breads, toaster, yogurt, or cheese. Also lacking were tables, chairs, or running water. The morning news was not available on the TV as the kid behind the front desk was playing some music service direct to his ear phones. Maintenance issues included room door hard to open/close (despite 1" gap at the bottom), auto repairs underway in the parking lot, abandoned business attached to the lobby, missing lightbulbs, torn curtains, and a shower handle that came off with little provocation. This place is akin to a homeless shelter without carts run by people who have no business working in hospitality. We decided not to provide the homeless guy haunting the parking a ride across town for $20 cash, but it was nice of him to offer.
