We were under mandatory evacuation from hurricane Milton, so we decided to stay in Orlando. The pictures of the hotel online looked very nice. Upon check in we were placed in a room that we had not booked, and being that the hotel was completely booked due to the evacuations, we accepted. Every other hotel had no availability.
The room had a strange smell, the floors were well worn, the furniture was terribly worn and looked like a thrift shop donation, the toilet made a loud noise for minutes after flushing, the bathtub enamel was completely worn out, the air conditioners did not cool properly, we could hear people in the hallway, and the people above us, the hallways and elevator smelled like marijuana, the ‘free breakfast’ literally consisted of coffee or tea, oatmeal packets, individually wrapped muffins and nutra grain bars. We also swent to a store and bought cleaning products to attempt to sanitize the room.
We only stayed one of the two days we had booked, once we found out we could return to Tampa. The place looked nothing like it was pictured online. It had an off the highway sketchy motel vibe. Definitely NOT worth the price charged per night.
