Disappointed
The reviews on yelp were all very mixed. unfortunately our experience was very similar to the bad reviews. Here is a summary. Pros: convenient location near freeway & some restaurants. Inexpensive, front desk rep was polite. Bed was comfortable. Cons: breakfast was disappointing. The only “ hot” option was an automatic pancake maker. All the pancakes came out undercooked and doughy. The other options were toast, oatmeal, cereal. Etc. They did have hard boiled eggs and yogurt. Our room seemed run-down. Baseboards were laden with dirt. Looked like they had not been wiped down in years. Bathroom door had a metal plate on bottom that was bent , sticking out, sharp and dangerous. Baseboards missing in bathroom, grimy along float, broken tiles. Sheets were laundered but still had stains. I brought this to the attention of the front desk. She said the stains were “ chemical burns” and they were not supposed to be used. We did have a small dog so we were given a” pet friendly “ room. I did notice the door was very dirty on the bottom 1/2 - where dogs may have pawed at . Needs to be wiped down. Our pet friendly room was also at the back of the complex nearest the freeway. So there was traffic noise at night along with trains rolling by most of the night. So .. I think I figured out why there are so many disparities in the reviews. I think people with out pets may have been given better rooms and people with pets were given the more run down rooms. Just a guess.

Latch to secure the door was broken. Door knob to the adjoining door was completely missing and if the other person were to open their side, they could see into our room. We were so tired that we just fell asleep and left at 7am Bathroom was so filthy,

We enjoyed everything about our stay but nothing seemed to be wiped down. The ice bucket was dirty and the doors and walls seemed as though they had grime on them so I figured the remote and everything else wasn’t cleaned properly either. Also the window didn’t lock.

I was not impressed with the Days Inn in Needles and it was actually somewhat disappointing. First of all the furnishings in the rooms are all run down. The carpet had tears andfraying in it. But most of all hotel room designers need to understand that today's Travelers need a table or desk where they can put their laptop to work and or sit to eat. Here the desk was up against the wall with the microwave and a lamp on top of it and the refrigerator underneath of it so that the desk was completely useless for work or eating.

I dont know how this place is at 7 stars! Our room was just filthy. The shower was full of mildew, the tub dirty, faucet and shower head caked in scale buildup and the bathroom door had to be manhandled closed. The air had been left off all day and the room was easily 100 degrees. They may have done that to try and deter you from realizing theres no hot water. The beds had dirt that had to be wiped off and the floor was dirty. There was a crack i could fit my finger in between the door and jam and i was thankful the lock at least latched. In hindsight it now makes sense the door and beds were dirty because the dirt was just blowing in from the outside. Base boards filthy, paint peeling and shoddy caulk jobs throughout the room. If that room was that bad i cant imagine the rest was any better. It was just not good. I didnt expect a perfect room but with some cleaning and simple repair it easily could of been a lot better.
