The staff at reception went way above and beyond to ensure a 5* check in and also provided tourist advice for our stay. Great location too next to the gardens. Will definitely come back.

Kom til hotellet midt på natta, men ingen problem med innsjekk. Litt eldre rom med god plass. Fint hotell, med veldig sentral beliggenhet

Great place to stay, just do it!
Great location, wonderful service, and A/C that works. A little older hotel, but very clean, with good eating options

No Guest Mobility Ticket
Firstly, the hotel doesn’t look as grand as internet photos but no big deal I suppose.The decor was rather dated though some guests may prefer this to a more modern ‘boutique’ style hotel.
Our room (superior double) was somewhat smaller than expected and overlooked the courtyard carpark and rather scruffy buildings. I always seem to be unlucky with hotel rooms and realise every room won’t have a street view but hoped for better with a ‘superior’ room.
The bed and duvet were very comfortable and a second pillow was provided for my wife on request (preferred a higher one) and was always well cleaned discretely. Shower (though in bath) was fine. Couple of criticisms though - no hanging hook in bathroom for clothes and nowhere (bench etc) to place suitcases in room (as mentioned room fairly small and they had to live on floor).
Breakfast was very good - Sema and the team were friendly and efficient. We stayed for 7 nights (probably longer than most guests) and it would have been good if there was some variation in cakes etc over the week.
Now my biggest gripe is that we weren’t given a Guest Mobility Ticket
https://www.guestmobilityticket.at/en/ which would have saved us money (and hassle of buying tickets) travelling to/from airport and within Salzburg (we did check-in online before arrival). Apparently:- ‘It is funded through a mobility surcharge added to the overnight tax’- we pay this so why no card - management decision or incompetent front desk? Other hotels provide them.
