The location is good, close to the train and shopping. However, you have to consider that there will be noise from outside as the hotel is at Dam Square.
The rooms were not completely ready even though they said the rooms were ready for check-in. One of the rooms lacked complementary water, which we had to ask for on our way back in the evening. Later in the evening we discovered that the shower gel was completely empty, which should have been refilled between check-out and check-in. We had to call and ask for this as well the first evening. The water bottles had caps and there were no bottle openers in both rooms. We had to ask for this too. The second room lacked hand soap the first evening and we thought it would be refilled the next day. When we still didn't have hand soap in the evening, we had to ask for a refill. Room two was also poorly cleaned because we started coughing as soon as we came in. We asked for a more thorough cleaning but it didn't help.
The breakfast was nothing a four star hotel should have. The selection consisted of thinly sliced very dry cheese (felt very plastic), ham/chicken topping, egg, bacon, sausage, two kinds of jam and 2-3 different kinds of bread but no bread knife to cut the bread. When we asked the staff they referred to the knife on the table so we got crumbled bread. Despite this I would like to commend the staff at the reception who were very nice and friendly.
