This trip I had two rooms; 719 with two queens for my two daughters, and 517 with one king for myself.
This hotel is very old and I have used it for many years. Its greatest points are, spaciousness, convenience to airport, free parking, attached IHOP, good airpot shuttle service, swimming pool, and usually low price.
With the recent change of name adding "Wyndham", I expected a nice improvement. Sadly, it has gone downhill. I get the impression that Wyndham management is, for some reason, intending to dump the hotel and use the property for a new one. On this trip, the beds, hot water, and air-conditioning were all excellent.
After arriving from Japan at SFO at 11:25, we were tired. Check-in is 3 PM, and they would not even allow check-ih 20 minutes early. (Unthinkable for a hotel serving an international airport).
Problems in room 517; Television did not work, and on entering the room only had one hand towel. Reported to front, they said they would send them right a way. They did, two hours later.
Problem in room 719; The toilet would not flush!!! Reported to front. They said they would send someone "right a way." Two hours later reported that nobody had come. They responded, "We'll send somebody right a way, or change your room. By the time we checked out the next AM, nobody had come, nor was any room change arranged. When my daughters needed to defecate, they had to go to the opposite end of the property to use the rest room at the Front Office.
