Hotel is very clean and comfortable.
It is near downtown Raleigh, location is also convinient
It was okay, but. . . .
The front desk lady was awesome. Really want to stress that. She was amazing! ....but the hotel did attempt to charge us $120 more than what we booked for. I had to bring up receipt proof from Hotels.com in order to secure the price I originally agreed to when booking. Only one elevator worked....and that's apparently been the case for months. It was easier and faster to just take the stairs...and we were on the 15th floor. The room was super cute. Kind of disappointing no microwave, but we at least got a mini fridge. The bed was so-so. The bathroom was awkward due to the shape of the room and there was almost no room to close the door between the door and the toilet. I'm glad I chose free parking rather than free breakfast because the parking was $15 a night (and the deck literally wraps around the hotel so very on site) and the breakfast was some fruit and coffee next to the check in counter. It's going to be demolished soon, so it was an experience to stay in such an iconic building before it's gone....but also it's so run down now that it almost wasn't worth it.
Not what I expected
They say they offer hot breakfast but it is only coffee in the lobby
Housekeeping knocking and entering at all times
Only one elevator worked so it took us 20 minutes to get down when everyone was trying to leave the hotel
Bathroom was very small
OLD HOTEL POSING AS A HOLIDAY INN.
THE HOTEL WAS OLD AND IN REAL NEED OF A FACE LIFT. IT APPEARS AS A BAD MOTEL 6 WITH A HOLIDAY INN LOGO. IF I WERE HOLIDAY INN I WOULD PULL THE NAME OF THE HOTEL....
