The water park was closed for maintenace and was NEVER disclosed until we checked in. The only option was a free cancelation...which wasnt realy an option at all. Very disapointing since the entire reason we booked was because of the water park for our 3 and 6 year old to enjoy while in town for a wedding.
The non smoking room smelled of cigarettes and and must. Had to put car air fresheners in the AC unit to cover the odor.
Ice machine leaked water our entire stay by the side entrance. So much that a large puddle formed outside of the hotel. Staff just kept piling towels in front of it. Carpet was soaked 6 feet into the building.
Most of the staff could be found out back smoking at any part of the day.
Our parents also booked rooms there and had to be moved twice on check in due to in tollerable smell in the first room, and a broken air conditioner in the 2nd.
The one positive you might ask? The water pressure was fantastic in the shower, but I am guessing that was due to the lack of visitors.
Overall it was the worst hotel I have experienced, and I spent 7 years working on the road and staying in cheap hotels. My biggest issue is the lack of transparency around the waterpark. A notification prior to arrival would change things.
I can overlook other things if your main attraction is open and functioning. If its not, your other shortcomings shine through and and show how poorly managed and how much the staff doesnt really care about how things operate.
