Peristyle Square (known locally as Peristil) is the central square in the Old Town of Split. It’s found in the Diocletian Palace, with the faux Roman architecture lining the square.
A popular place for taking photos is under the white marble columns that line the square. Try to get here in the early morning as the whole area becomes very busy as the day wears on.

The vestibule is a grand old room with a towering open dome above it, which was the formal entrance to the living quarters in Diocletian’s Palace. The sunlight plays with this architectural feature as it moves along the stone walls throughout the day with a bright patch of blue sky overhead.
For a cool IG story, make use of the fabulous acoustics by singing a song and enjoying the reverb.
