Great location and room
The hotel is located right on the corner across from the basilica and plaza. The plaza is filled with great street food vendors.
We stayed in the suite (room 16), which had a king-sized bed, siting area, wood fireplace, full bathroom downstairs, and loft accessible by a spiral staircase. The loft had a bathtub with large window with a great view. Be patient with the hot water. It will eventually go from warm to really hot! We never ran out of hot water, even when using the tub. There was also a couch and small office area in the loft.
The staff was friendly and were able to help with advice, taxis, etc.
We did eat in the restaurant. The food was decent. The star fruit salsa was amazing. The best part of the restaurant was the view!
When we return to Pátzcuaro we will definitely stay at Hotel Posada La Basilica again!
