We booked this place seeing 4.5 star rating and excellent reviews. It is basically a scam. When we reached to the hotel a guy came out named "Ahmed Elgabry" and said the hotel does not have an elevator so they took us to a different location. When we reached to the location my family was scared because it was in dark alley. Once we went inside the hotel there was no proper receptionist and our room according to the booking (one king and 1 twin sofa bed) was not available. They showed us 4 twin bed room or 2 rooms with 2 twin beds. We decided to take the 2 rooms. The rooms were probably in the standard of a 2 star. The bathroom had a smell of sewerage and they left the mop inside the bathroom. The whole night there were people walking around the facility with noise. We booked the facility for 3 nights and we spent one night and decided to rent other hotels as my kids were very scared to stay in that hotel.
Ahmed Elgabry who tried to contact me before arriving Cairo, claiming he is from the hotel. I did not like the fact he reached out to me without through "hotels.com". Also the guy started arguing about my reservation with his hotel for Dec 31st night and saying I need to pay extra $50 for my family size.
I am also very disappointed with hotels.com and how they allow this kind of hotel to be rated as 4.5 star. The facility cannot be anything but 2 star. I do not believe I will use hotels.com to find hotels in future. Pay attention to the "number" of reviewers.
