Never Again!
When I went to check in at approximately 715pm, the front lobby was dark. A younger person checked me in and I paid with cash. She then asked me for a $100 cash deposit for the room. Now there is no room service, etc, so my thought was that it was for a pet deposit. I did not have a pet with me which I disclosed SEVERAL times. So another younger person came out, asked me if I had pets, and told me that it was required to have a cash deposit. I told them I did not have it and then asked for my money back to go to another hotel. I already had a bad vibe because of the darkness in the lobby and the big plastic barrier they had all the way across the front desk. I understand this could be for COVID, but it also could be for their protection. This did not present as being a good area of Columbus. So they would not give me my money and then an older lady came out, asked me if I had pets (again) and then said I could put the $100 on a card but it would take a week to go back on my card. I was not able to do that either. I again asked for my money back and they would not give it back. The older woman finally waived the deposit and just told me not to smoke in the room. I don’t smoke. This is the only reason I gave them 2 stars for service. When I get into the room I wash my hands and go to use one of the 2 washcloths provided. One of them was dirty and the other had a pubic hair stuck to it. So that was out. Overall I felt very uncomfortable in the room and I did not feel safe

Stay away from the property; worst room conditions with no hot water in the shower in for the month of Nov in Ohio; arrogant manager who doesn’t want her contact details shared with the customers for reporting issues, guess because they knew they would get a lot of calls for the poor conditions in the rooms; unfriendly front desk staff..,DONT GET A STAY HERE!!!

Staff was kind and helpful. The rooms were dirty, bed had stained linens and actually dirt and grime on the sheets. Walls were dirty. No water pressure and ceiling was coming down. We didnt stay.

Ok stay
Not the best or worst place. If you are looking for a cheap place to stay, this is it. I love a Red Roof Inn but this one is not the best in their portfolio. My room had a weird smell, gnats everywhere but I could stay here and not pay extra for my dog.

This was not what the pictures looked like. The pillows, towels, and sheets all had stains and the floor had a film. The entire room smelled like cigarette smoke, so much so I was afraid we would get charged the fee. Just overall not what I have experienced at other Red Roof Inn properties and it was VERY expensive which is unusual as well.

The room was so dirty. Floors were so bad I wouldn’t put my bare feet down. Dirt set in the corners. Toilet leaked and was not stable. Air conditioner smelled like pee. One of the worst place I could have stayed. I didn’t read the reviews or look at stats before reservation. Lesson learned. I don’t mind an older motel or hotel as long as it’s clean but I have nothing nice to say about this place.
