We booked this hotel last minute, as most options were expensive. Although not inexpensive, we decided to try it despite mixed reviews. This is one of the older resorts in the hotel zone, and it shows. Our room in the main building offered nice views but hadn't been updated. The beds were uncomfortable, and wear and tear were evident. The room attendant didn't meet our expectations, possibly due to a heavy workload. The food was hit or miss. The buffet was mediocre, and the Mexican restaurant was disappointing. However, we enjoyed the KOI (Asian) and Italian restaurants, with KOI being the best. The hibachi experience lacked energy and variety. Breakfast was good but repetitive. The café, with fresh ice cream and cappuccinos, was a highlight. The beach setup was limited, with few lounges and cabanas. Early risers claimed them, leaving others to use towels on the sand. Our butler service allowed us to reserve cabanas, which typically cost $200 daily. A downside was the constant sales pitches, trying to sell memberships or excursions. The concierge spent 30 minutes trying to get us to attend a presentation, which we declined. This left a sour taste. Nighttime activities were minimal, with only a few shows and no lively music. However, our butler, Jessica, was excellent, managing our reservations and cabana bookings.

We like it everything about this resort, employees are always there for us and they are always amazing, they know how to do the job professionally. Bottler is amazing his name is Miguel. This resort was beautiful! Jessica, our butler, was fantastic and did so much for us. The bartenders, buffet staff and the hibachi chef were all amazing. We had a large group and were accommodated for every meal and they made sure we were always comfortable. Definitely do the Koi restaurant, it was the best. I highly recommend this resort.

Overral this property was fine. This is my 4th time at a resort and this was on the smaller size. Great for family vacation if want to relax but not for people who want to party. Nice property, spacious rooms with a ceiling fan! Showers were amazing and full force shower heads was a plus! Beautiful beach area, perfect location, close to everything. We loved the ice cream parlor, pizza stand and club DJ was fire!! My only complaint is the food and beds could be better. Tacos by the pool were good and great servers. I knew that coming in because I read the reviews. I’m not a picky eater but the food needs improvement. Loved the omelette cook but cheese was bad. Beds were hard and uncomfortable. Other than that we had a great stay.

Butler service is the one unique experience and made our trip very memorable. One downside is a poor food quality of the buffet compared to the previous years. The steak at Flor de Sal and Bibimbab at KOI, however, were excellent.
