First and foremost great value! We had the deluxe suite which had two queen beds and a private attached bathroom. Perfect for a group of women traveling! Clean room and the staff was quick to respond when we needed more bathroom supplies.

We found drug paraphernalia (what looked like a crack pipe) in the restroom to the room upstairs with the patio. This is unacceptable. The sheets smelled of an unknown chemical and were clearly recently smoked in. This was a human health hazard that went unaddressed. I only stayed the night because I had no choice, then I left the next day. I also had to park two streets over for parking. It is hell on a weekend or late in the evening to find a spot too. Terrible excuse for a hostel that should be shut down until further notice,

Very clean and nice hostel for anyone looking for a place to stay in the Downtown LA area. Conveniently five minutes from downtown and very easy check in and check out process. Definitely recommend booking at Forty-First place hostel!

Property was clean, staff was great. Room was very nice and spacious. Only thing was the parking. It is first come, first served and surrounding area is one with very limited street parking. Plan to take an uber/lyft or park 3-4 blocks away after a night out like we did.

Wonderful Vibe , Quiet Location , Love the Aesthetic inside the room , lovely hot water ! Parking is a challenge but overall the stay overrides that ! Definitely would book again

The room we stayed at was nice, it has a common area in the kitchen with a recording camera(i guess for security,didn't bother me), shared bathroom with other guest between room 3 and 4, It was only provided 1 full towel per guest, and it was a little stinky and stained, It also would be nice to get some wash cloth and hand towels. I had some issues with the doors lock codes but they were eventually fixed within the hour, overall pretty good we found parking on site which was nice but limited. Just have in mind you are sharing with other people and you can hear everything even music at 1am in the morning heavy heels steps walking up and downstairs,other guest leaving the main door open so don't leave nothing personal in common areas bc anybody could get there. I would stay back in this this place but definitely will get a room with private bathroom next time.

Bring your own cloth hangers, none in closet. Low quality towels but ok. Chair in room had stains, the blinds in the room were dusty, sheets stained and closet wall also had stains. Take off all pillowcase and check your pillows. One pillow had a yellow stain.

Parking was weird. Room needs temperature control. More like an air b n b. No real staff on hand just some dude who can’t really help. Walls are thin. But the place was clean the neighborhood was except able room looked modern. So if you just need a room for the night perfect. But if you want luxury or some spicy time it’s no good for that. So it really depends on what you need

Nice experience, everyone helpful and firendly. Process of checking in worked well, excpet the first code didnt work. After aoncukting the support hotline eveything worked fine. The appartment was clean but small. The ac was a bit noisy but nothing too bad. Oberall good experience. Can recommend

Kleine kamer die niet helemaal schoon was. Vlekken in de handdoeken en haren in het bed. Matige badkamer waar weinig warm water uit de douche kwam. Locatie vlakbij downtown maar ver van toeristische plekken als Santa Monica, Beverly Hills of Hollywood. De schoonmaakster was wel heel behulpzaam toen onze code die we kregen niet klopte. Zou deze niet per se aanbevelen.
