The check in process was slow, untimely and ineffective if you happen to be a US citizen. They didn’t send the check in link until I was already traveling and without reliable internet, so checking in took well over an hour some in which was while I was waiting on the street in front of the building (which I was eventually able to enter without a passcode and with no security on the other side). Note - Other places send online check in instructions 1 or more days in advance. Their online check in wouldn’t accept US Department of State as the issuer (it required a city) and for residence information there was no selection for the state, instead they use counties. There is no one on site, at all. It’s an old building that feels deserted with random people coming and going. The rooms are 4 floors up with a creaky old elevator that may or may not work depending on whether people follow the directions. The “hotel rooms” or whatever they call it is a converted space comprising a suite of 5 rooms. Luggage was stored in the “reception” the entire time I was there and never claimed. There was very poor soundproofing between rooms. Street noise was present but not terrible - the noise from other rooms was louder. Hotels are expensive in Rome right now but this was not even close to worth the price they’re charging. On the plus side, the room was spacious, bathroom was fine though no decent toiletries provided, and there’s a good in room coffee maker.
