We stayed here for a weekend in the city with kids. The location was great, lots of things nearby to walk to. It felt safe. Parking was great. The one bedroom felt spacious and clean. Sofa bed wasn't too comfortable, but kids didn't mind and I wish they had provide soap for hands or dishes.

The surf motel was great, room 218 the family suite was big and nice everything worked great the air conditioner the heater worked, privacy was great we had parking for our car, there's restaurants around nice safe secure area my family really enjoyed the surf motel. The price is really good cheap, $100 deposit cash they gave us back our deposit no questions asked. Would recommend especially the room we stayed in when we go back to San Francisco we'll be going back to the surf motel.

The outside looked fine and the guy at the desk was helpful enough. Parking wasn’t an issue. Relatively quiet. But my room needed a full remodel. The A/C didn’t work, no mini fridge(as advertised). One little wall lamp for the main room, no plugs by the bed, saggy bed/mattress, mold all around the bathroom tub, exhaust fan in bathroom wasn’t functional, fixtures/curtain rods-rusty. The bathroom sink top was granite, which was nice, but the base was particle board and was clearly falling apart. At least the ice machine worked. These hotels/motels are like a dating app…the pictures rarely match the advertised merchandise.

The location is amazing, lots of stores, restaurants, bars and other attractions near by in walk distance. Baker beach is 13 mins away, Pier 39 is as well. The motel is a bit outdated. The room was clean, the bedsheets were excellent. had a microwave& fridge . No phone, hair dyer or room service but if you need a quick place to stay with basic necessities & dont mind an outdated motel then this place is perfect.

The location has plenty of views on to Lombard street with lots of weather to see from the balconies. It's clean and somewhat cozy. Not always friendly or with plenty of ammenites but it is fairly quiet and has good bath and shower facilities and cable TV. Always like to go back.
