When we arrived at the hotel, the receptionist was arrogant and not particularly helpful – it felt like we were a nuisance just for checking in. The hotel itself is, at best, worn and dated. The rooms are poorly maintained, the pool was not clean, and the sun loungers clearly showed signs of bird droppings. Old towels and leftover food on the tables by the pool were not cleared away.
One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was because it advertised a gym. The “gym” turned out to be a small attic room with wall-to-wall carpeting and a strong smell of mold. The equipment consisted of six pairs of dumbbells, a barbell with weights, a broken cable crossover machine (which remained unfixed despite several complaints), and a rowing machine with a single handle.
Windsor claims to be a four-star hotel – we strongly disagree, unless you’re only judging by the price.
