We recently stayed at the Hilton as a family of four and booked a deluxe room, expecting a high standard of comfort and service. For £254 per night, we were disappointed. On arrival, we were charged an additional £17 for parking and £50 as a damage deposit, which was acceptable, but not ideal.
The room had a smart TV, but it had no internet access and only supported Android devices. In 2025, it’s unacceptable that such a basic feature isn’t compatible with iPhones — especially when families rely on such services to keep young children entertained.
The baby cot provided had an uncomfortably firm mattress, unsuitable for an infant. The bathroom had no exhaust fan, so odours lingered, and the lifts were too small, making it difficult to manage with a pram and luggage.
Overall, the experience fell far below expectations. For the Hilton brand and the price paid, I expected much more. The quality of service and facilities was closer to what you’d find in a budget hotel like Premier Inn, but without the value for money. I would not recommend this hotel for families.
