The young receptionist is my star. With a promising forecast of Aurora on the evening of my arrival, I asked them for advice for the best spot to see it from. (Not that I had not seen Aurora before or specifically came for it to Brønnøysund/Sømna, but who gets ever tired of Aurora?) I expected an answer like “just from our terrace” (the hotel does have a nice terrace) but instead they offered 3 different spots, each with its pros and cons, and indicated them for me on Google Maps. I had my car with me and happily chose the one on the beach about 8 km away - and got my best Aurora snapshots ever! With friendly, kind, enthusiastic staff like them, Sømna Kro is certainly blessed. Everything else was excellent too. Thank you very much, highly recommended.
