The First Nations art in the hotel is stunning. There is art in both public spaces and private rooms. The hotel provided information about the artworks and the artists in a binder in the room. It's almost worth staying for the art alone.
The staff members were pleasant when I both checked in and checked out.
The hotel is on the major road into Port Hardy, so it is easy to find, but the traffic is light, so it is not noisy. There is plenty of parking.
There were a few minor quibbles. My room faced the main road (and then there were trees on the other side of the road) and the blind was pulled down when I arrived, but I could see outlines of cars driving down the road, which caused me concern that the drivers could see in, and I wouldn't want to frighten the drivers.
Also, I could hear people in the hall, which I assume meant that they could see me.
Finally, the room was squeaky clean, but there were a couple of small stains on the carpet. A coffee stain would probably have been easy to clean when it was still wet, so it's annoying that the person who spilled the coffee didn't do something about it.
But those are minor quibbles.
To summarise, the Indigenous artwork is amazing, the staff is pleasant and the location is good. I look forward to visiting again.
And I got a great price from Expedia.
