This is a seasonal, rustic lodge. As long as you go into it knowing that it is a convenient spot to see Kings Canyon from. There's a restaurant and small store at the lodge that really are convenient. I would stay there again, but understand it is about like staying in a camper that has a/c and a bathroom. There's nothing luxurious about it.

Beautiful setting right next to a river. It's about as far as you can go into the national park. Restaurant food was great! No fridge or microwave. No TV. But who needs a TV in a national park?!

Staff not connected to service. No coffee yet pask sold in the shop . Was not a restaurant was a fast food system. Plastic sheets over matress, like in a old folks home.

The lodge is about 30 miles from the park entrance on mountain roads so much less crowded, quieter, ready to enjoy nature. The lodge is old and small but our room was clean and comfortable. Shower and air conditioning in working order with wifi, no TV. The lodge is next to the river, the grill is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and there is a market in the building. We enjoyed our visit.

Basic accommodations, nothing fancy, but perfect for exploring the area. The location is unbeatable - right on the river! With the market and little restaurant, we had everything we needed. I would happily stay here again!

We had a delightful stay. The room and property was super clean. It was located right on the river with a beautiful view and plenty of lounge chairs and picnic tables to relax and enjoy. They have a great market and restaurant on site with lots of food options. Staff was great, super friendly and helpful; in a location look perfect for exploring Kings canyon.

The lodge was in a good location, but the fire alarm went off after midnight. There were no staff on site and it was over an hour before the staff were even awake/aware. Overall it was after 3am that we were back inside. It did make it a rough start to our backpacking trip the bext morning.

We arrived an hour early and were able to check in with adjoining rooms. Beautiful location on King River with lounge chairs to enjoy the views outside. Picnic area is where you can use a propane camp stove to cookout. (No charcoal) Snack bar serves starbucks coffee and there is a cute gift shop with lower prices than the park shops. We enjoyed our stay, 2 elders a young couple and you g adults. I would be worried of the river if you had young children. And a note that the room doors lock from the inside- old fashioned push button on the handle.
