Very relaxing stay. Pool and jacuzzi were great. Yes, the room on the historic hotel side was antiquated, but it was clean, comfortable, and quiet. It was fun taking a step back in time, and it is nice knowing for future travels, they have the more updated motel side if preferred. I hope I can return again soon. Charming hotel and town.

The hotel was wonderful, especially for a historical place. Really enjoyed my stay. I would've given the hotel 5 stars had if not been for the swing shift Front Desk agent. I don't know her name as she didn't wear a name tag. She had a bad attitude from the point I walked in and said, "Hello." The rest of the staff was good.

It was clean enough. There was a long hair in the tub and a dead bug on the floor, but that happens, it's not a big deal. The front desk cheerfully upgraded my room when I found that it did not have a toilet or shower. The room was tiny, but charming. There was a sink in the room, tucked in a nook, but no counter space, no outlet, and poor lighting. ("I guess I'll go au natural today. ") Sleeping was difficult because it was hot and stuffy, with a singular vent in the wall by the criminal. No fan. If I had to guess, I would say it was 80⁰ through the night. Made me want to leave. Overall the hotel was charming, but I probably wouldn't stay again.

Horrible stay. No air conditioning on a 97F day. The room we were assigned also did not have a private bath - which was news to us. Their website did not disclose that tidbit of information. So we shared two toilets down the hall and one shower stall with 22 other rooms. (!) When we asked if we coukd upgrade to a room with AC, we were told they had plenty available - but we would have to pay triple the price. Really!? We did not even think to ask if a hotel room in the desert Southwest would have AC. Beware! These were but two of the disappointments. Take NOTHING for granted.

I chose the Historic Dow Hotel because of its location and historic character, but unfortunately my stay fell short of expectations. Upon arrival, we discovered that our room had only one bed despite our reservation being for two beds. This created an immediate inconvenience, and the staff was unable to provide a satisfactory solution. The most significant issue, however, was the lack of air conditioning. The room was uncomfortably warm during our stay, making it difficult to rest. While I understand that historic properties may have limitations, guests should be aware that comfort amenities are not comparable to those found in more modern accommodations. I also found the staff to be largely unhelpful when concerns were raised. Rather than providing alternatives or making a meaningful effort to address the issues, the response felt indifferent. The hotel has historic charm and a convenient location, but the combination of an incorrect room assignment, lack of air conditioning, and poor customer service resulted in a disappointing experience. Based on this stay, I would not choose to stay here again.

Easy parking for my F-250 diesel truck within easy walking distance of multiple dining locations. Incredibly small room which was kept comfortable using a swamp cooler. Though small, the room had everything I needed and the bed was comfortable, including the pillows. My only complaint would be that staff was not always present at the front desk with no sign noting when they would be back. Otherwise, a great option.
