Very very central location in Takayama with big rooms! We stayed here for one night only but were very happy that we did as it was a lovely central location right across form Takayama Jinjya (museum) and short walking distance to the Old Town. Room was spacious and in nice condition and clean. Stairs are a bit steep so if you struggle with that it might be worth to at least request a room on a low floor. Only thing with the hotel was that as there's no staff on site (you will contact them through a tablet which does work fine though!), so we did not dare to try to send our luggage forward to the hotel, unfortunately which was a bit impractical. But apart from that one thing we have nothing to say against this hotel and would stay again! :)

It was close to lots of tourist places, not too far from train/bus station. Check in was virtual. The staircase is steep. Bed & pillow cases. The bath towel was tiny, almost like a big hand towel but that was only downside. I was able to do washing which was great, you just buy detergent for 100 yen, washing facilities free. Lovely hotel with exceedingly friendly helpful staff and a rooftop bar with lovely views. Our kettle in the room was faulty, but five minutes after informing them they brought us a new one. Stairs are a bit steep and no lift, but not a problem for us.
