We LOVED this place! Staff was super helpful and nice to us. Our room was a delight if you enjoyed a hotel with character! Very cosy! The breakfast was amazing, and they made sure to remember my birthday, which was a special touch. We would definitely recommend and stay there again!

Charming hotel. Dolly at the front desk is very nice. The breakfast was quite wonderful. The room we had was lovely. Very comfortable bed. Good location in Napa. Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends.

We really enjoyed our stay in early July. Very charming room and entire house (converted to B&B). Walking distance to downtown Napa, always-available coffee, teas and water and little treats in the parlor, overall just very welcoming. The parking lot is a little tight so if you drive a big SUV, be aware of that.

Our host Dolly was the epitome of welcoming graciousness. From the afternoon welcome appetizers on Friday to the delicious breakfast on Saturday she also showed she was an amazing cook as well. The beautiful rooms and the gorgeous patio are something I hope to come back to!

The Charles is definitely unique and its decor and attention to detail of the environment. The food was delicious and served to order. We enjoyed the staff who prepared and presented our food as we sat for breakfast. Late check in as well as method of check out were easy.

We wanted a night away, last second and found The Charles. We stayed in room 100,little private cottage and it was exactly what we wanted. Well decorated,clean,quiet, private,centrally located.....Breakfast was delicious and the host was wonderful! Only suggestion I have is get a maintenance guy in there to tighten the faucets. We would definitely come back next time we're in town.

The stay was lovely and the staff is great. They made the meals, wine and appetizers and social time very enjoyable. The hotel was quiet. The other guests were interesting and fun to get to know. The location was walkable to downtown and provided easy access to highway and wineries. Our rooms were large and comfortable. The bathroom was very dated. It could have used a more detailed cleaning.

I have stayed at hotels, Airbnb’s and bed and breakfasts all over the world. I would hold this place in the very top tier of them all. The purpose of my trip was to ask the girl of my dreams to marry me. This place was so beautiful, and court yard, fountains, fire pits, and landscaping were such, that our first night there, of all the places in Napa, I decided to propose to her here. This place is a must stay for the traveler who knows how to chose.

The Charles was fantastic!!! Arrival was welcoming, as though we were old time friends. The main part of the house was clearly recently remodeled and painted, all while keeping with the old time charm of the house. Our room was large, and we never felt cramped. Breakfast was so good that we kept bringing it up during the day. And the scones are not to be missed!!! It is now our go to place in Napa. Could not recommend higher.
