I want to save anyone considering this property the experience I had.
I arrived just before midnight to find my access code only worked for the building entrance — not my floor or my room. With no staff on site, I spent 90 minutes on the phone being asked to send photos, videos, and confirm my details multiple times before someone eventually opened my door remotely. I was promised a follow-up call with a fix. It never came.
The next morning the fire alarm went off at around 08:30. Again, no staff, no fire marshal, nobody responsible for the building. I evacuated and stood outside for close to an hour while the alarm continued sounding. Eventually a cleaner arrived, switched it off, and walked away — no investigation, no explanation, no confirmation it was safe to go back in. I then couldn't get back into my room and spent another 30 minutes on the phone.
Later I was called and told to pack up and move to a different building entirely. In the first 12 hours of my stay, I spent more than half of that time on the phone, in corridors, outside during a fire alarm, or moving my belongings.
The fire alarm situation alone should give anyone pause. A 45-minute alarm with no trained staff and no all-clear before guests re-entered is not just poor service — it is a serious safety concern.
Hotels.com, who I booked through, were unable to get a response from the property when I raised a formal complaint. Make of that what you will.
