My wife and I really liked the room. It was very clean and comfortable. I was skeptical about the self check in, but it was fine. I messaged the staff and got an answer back right away. I would definitely recommend this spot!

Beautifully decorated restored hotel. Check in a little challenging to some. I didn’t have a problem but I had to help a couple of others figure out the self check in. Would highly recommend this beautiful quiet hotel. But be warned, the small town closes early so get your dinner or shopping done beforehand.

It was self check in, really didn't see any hotel star while I was there. In a good location, bakery right across the street. Room had an odd smell in the living room, not sure what it was or where it was coming from. Other than that the stay was very pleasant

It was a nicely restored older building that maintained its original look but looks like a new version of it. I liked the remote check-in, getting an email with a code to enter the lobby and another for the room door. It was very clean. Tomales is a nice little town, close to the ocean.

Excellent location for a coastal getaway & the bakery across the street is a must visit. Room itself was clean and self-check in was easy. However, it was not the best night of sleep as the bed was overly firm and there is not much insulation from road / pedestrian noise outside.

We liked the property in small downtown Tomales. There were bucolic views of the surrounding hills and cattle. We didn't like the contactless approach. There was no one to greet us, and no one to connect with personally. The room was unusual in that there was no dresser, only three hangars, and only one spot to put a suitcase. There is an amazing bakery across the street.

It is an old hotel with lots of charm (on the outside). The lobby falls a little flat and could use a little more character and tbh... it smelled unpleasant! The room was very nice and looked as expected as shown in the photos. The king bed was very nice and comfortable, however the pillows were not - they went flat as soon as you laid your head on them. I think an addition of a desk would go a long way. The walls are thin so I heard our very loud neighbors talking on the phone 11pm at night. Love the contactless check in. There is a general store and lovely bakery across the street so that was nice!

The room was clean and comfortable and we had everything we needed. The mattresses are very firm. We didn't have a problem with that but it's worth noting. More like a thick tatami mattress. I would love to see the window lock properly and the hallway diffuser scent a little more light and neutral, but other than that, I have no complaints. We love the building and town. It's so charming and everyone was friendly. Check-in and out was a breeze.

Boutique little hotel with lots of history and character. Quiet and great location about 10-15 min from multiple beaches. Across the street is a fantastic bakery with good coffee as well as a little general store with a decent amount of snacks, wine, beer beach toys and other odds and ends. Easiest checking in and checking out. It’s not the most luxurious or fancy, not a ton of amenities. Felt very clean and well taken care of. I would 100% be happy staying there again, because I’m a minimalist. It’s got everything ya need, and nothing ya don’t.

I wanted to like this hotel, but it felt unfinished. We were lucky to arrive Sunday afternoon before the general store closed as there are no restaurants open that evening. Unfortunately there was no table or chairs in our room to eat at and no shelf to prepare items at the sink. Having some plates, silverware, and real glasses in the lobby to share would helpful. And we are of the generation that reads books , but there were no lights in the room bright enough to read comfortably. We were on the ground floor and someone actually looked in our room as he walked by! I would recommend half curtains so there is light but privacy. Finally, contactless check-in is really impersonal. Having someone at the desk for even 2 hours would give a person a chance to address issues are even say “hi” and “welcome”.
