We stayed for one night in early June, the hotel was bright, fresh and modern. The location is right in the centre of Sandakan and a useful base to explore. We had an evening meal at the restaurant which was better than average and reasonably priced. Breakfast was ok, they could have more on offer but what they did they did well. Overall I would stay again.

Nyere lækkert hotel. Værelserne er rene og rare at være i. Personalet er utroligt hjælpsomt og søde i deres væremåde. Poolen kunne trænge til en rens, da den fremstår grøn og ikke ren. Toiletterne har svært ved at trække ud på nogle værelser. Absolut bedste sted at sove, spise og generelt opholde sig i Sandakan!

Stunning hotel on the waterfront in Sandakan. Fantastic view from the room over the ocean, and the infinity pool - sunsets from here are spectacular. Staff are all so friendly, welcoming and helpful. Beds are incredibly comfortable, rooms are airy, light and large. Mocktails from the poolside bar are delicious!

First time in Sandakan and it was such a refreshing stay before heading to Kinabatangan. What really stood out was the warm, attentive, and informative staff who made everything so easy and welcoming. I also absolutely loved the pool, perfect for unwinding after a day out. A comfortable experience overall!

What an incredible stay! Thank you so much to the doorman (sorry i didn't get your name), Syafina and Azizan. Thank you for making my short stay so memorable. The hotel was spotless, the attention to detail by housekeeping was wonderful. I loved the pool and the food and I wish I could have stayed longer. I loved the map which came with the keycard that mapped the Sandakan heritage trail, which I followed and had a great day trip. If you're staying in Sandakan and want a piece of luxury and to watch an amazing sunrise and sunset this hotel is the place for you. Thank you so much!

Rooms are clean and nicely appointed with great views and strong A/C. No hallway or elevator air conditioning so temps run warm. Pool is exquisite and pool bar has great menu. Hotel only reopened under new flagship in recent months after 7 year closure (was a Sheraton before). Some areas still under renovation but this is the best property in Sandakan by a long shot. Italian restaurant is coming. Buffet breakfast was just OK. Not many gluten free options and hot food was luke warm at best. Hotel is attached to the mall which is convenient.

Although this is only given 4 stars, I would say this is more of a 5 star hotel. The rooms are clean with comfortable beds, the staff are friendly and helpful, the restaurant food is delicious (particularly dinner) and the roof top pool/ bar is stunning and very hip with panoramic views of Sandakan and the sea.

The best part of our stay was waking up to the magnificent view from our window. We had no problem getting a taxi to the Sepilok attractions and while the city center is a little worn, there is great food there.
