207- a tired room which had ripped wall paper and chipped furniture. However the bed was comfortable but the pillows very hard. Quiet and very dark at night. The staff were lovely- really keen to please. For this reason- I would return

Very disappointing

Not very impressed with the hotel at all. Stayed for location and for use of the spa in what appeared to be a nice hotel. The hotel is extremely dated with broken parts all over. It was dirty around the hotel with the night before a drinks, what looked like 100’s of cigarette buds scattered around, paint pealing off the railings and just looking dated and tired. Staff were non existent around the hotel. Spa was ok, basic and again a bit dirty and old. Breakfast food was average. Overall very disappointed and would never stay here again. It’s a shame as the golf course looked nice and the views were amazing. So much potential, maybe it was a lovely hotel 20 years ago.

Just dont book

Very tired hotel. Pictures on site make it look good but up close its not good at all. Had a suite with a filthy balcony covered in moss and green slime and general dirt. This suite had a lovely view of the car park! Grubby stained carpets. 20 minute wait for check in. reception and room service never answered the phone. Fuses blew in the room so no power and no one answering the phone to report it. Service at bar almost non existent. Benches outside the hotel lobby covered in dirt and grime not a great welcome.

Very enjoyable stay

Lovely room, very spacious, loved the bathroom (separate shower and bath), and discrete staff who don’t say your room number when checking in! Lovely stay and disabled parking is right outside the door - great views of the golf course and some cheeky pheasants also cross your path when you drive along the drive

Lovely stay

Overnight family stay to experience Oxford. Very easy check in, friendly staff. Very nice room, beautiful views around the hotel. Booked a swimming slot the next morning, lovely pool. Two rooms booked, very happy they were together even though i forgot to request it.

Staff very pleasant. Food and service in the restaurant and bar really good . Spa area clean. Only issue was the room location chose hotel for it having balcony rooms. Balcony tiny no furniture and ground floor in an enclosed square staring at walls no view what so ever. Asked for room with a view of golf course told none have views. Asked again for any view other than nothing and all Rooms taken. We had hoped to sit out and enjoy the evenings on our balcony but not possible.

peaceful beautiful hotel. love staying here. however, ordered a later lunch and it took 40 minutes or so for a sandwich to arrive and cold chips. was told that the ticket was lost, but the kitchen called me to confirm what bread i wanted so that was a lie. anyway, no sincere apologies and i was a little bit disappointed but the food was lovely. just a shame had to wait a long time for it.

Checked in at around 5pm went to my room to find cleaners in there, went back to reception and they changed my room which is fine. I think on the whole the room needs updating.

Peaceful setting, friendly golf club.

Peaceful setting in the Oxfordshire Countryside. The staff were great, very accommodating. Really useful to have a gym and a pool, I used them most days after a busy day at work. There was a golf tournament happening during my stay, it was great to be able to watch the golfers play from afar. If there was a little room for improvement it would be a few more healthier options on the menu, sometimes I just need a big salad.
