We loved our stay here. Staff were helpful and friendly. We arrived in the dark and were pleasantly surprised to wake up to a STUNNING view of the archeological site from our window! Even though we arrived late, check in was easy. Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic stay at Refugio Andino! So great that I actually returned to stay a second time for multiple nights.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Having breakfast included was a bonus and the service each morning was always so friendly and so nice to be greeted with a warm smile. The rooms are big and bright, wifi strong, and hot water in the showers is fantastic. Highly recommend!

The staff at Refugio Andino were wonderful. My husband spilled a dark colored drink all over his tan pants, and they got it out in the laundry which we were able to leave there for 2 days! (Laundry price was very reasonable). They made it easy to leave our larger bags for our trip to Machu Picchu. Breakfast was delicious and had a very large spread, and we had a fantastic dinner at the restaurant one night. From our room it was a little loud at night, but a hotel can't control people outside. We would definitely recommend Refugio Andino!

The property was in a great area and super easy to get to. The delux room we booked had a gorgeous view of the ruins. It is a nice hotel. We had semi warm water you just had to wait a long time for it to warm up. The breakfast was very limited. It was cheese meats and buns. If there was more then on group in there during breakfast you rab out of items.
We had to ask for towels multiple times. When we forst arroved we didnt have towels then werent given enough for our party. They then cleaned the room the next day and took the towels. We asked for more and were told soon. We asked 4 times and never got towels. Staff were nice but it was frustrating that we didnt have towels to shower.

We reserved 2 rooms for 3 nights. The location of the property is right in the centre of everything! The staff, Ceasar and William were great and were able to adress all our concerns. There are some minor matters that they need to improve.
1. There were no bath/floor Mat in the bathroom.
2. There were no shower cady or even a soap cady in the shower.
3. They only have a pedestal sink, there is no room to put any or the toileries.
4. They need extra towels. We asked for fresh towels and they asked for our old towels and they washed it on that moment. We have to wait for our towels to finish in the wash before we can shower. They return it damp.

Great value and location. We had a few hiccups but mostly circumstancial.
We stayed for two nights. Our first night was terrible due to a cat being stuck inside the hallway and crying for 4 hours. When we finally got to sleep, we were woken up an hour later by the construction right outside our window. Thankfully, the manager let us change rooms a little further away from the noise, but sadly, we didn't have the energy to do much the rest of the day.
Breakfast was a short window (2 hours) and had limited options, but the food was good (fresh bread, eggs, ham & cheese, cereal, coffee, and tea). This was the only hotel that didnt offer complimentary water bottles. The shower was the best hot water and pressure of our trip but the water didn't drain and futhermore, it spilled onto the bathroom floor. This happened in both our rooms. The rooms themselves were clean, but very dated. First room was deluxe and spacious, second room was standard and surprisingly, much smaller. While it also had a queen and twin size bed to sleep 3, it was hard to imagine fitting 3 adults. Also, they had the window open for the second room while cleaning, by the time we moved in, it had several flies and mosquitoes, so we spent the first hour or so, trying to get them all.
The location was great, walking distance from everything, including the train station, ruins, restaurants, and main square. They kept our bags while we checked out for the day and were very accommodating all-around.

We reserved a room but when we arrived. They did not have a room for us. After 30min we got the manager and he walked us to another of his hotels. Not as nice and electricity went off at 4a. We left at 530a.
