We absolutely loved at stay at Chateau Star, it was more then what we expected. Breakfast buffet was exceptional. Staff were friendly and helped as much as they could given language barrier, really only had 1 staff member who spoke English which was great as we weren't proficient with the translation apps immediately. Rooms were clean and we were super comfortable. There were plenty of restaurants and cafes, along with sone corner stores a short walk away. We will definitely be staying there again.

Notre séjour ne s'est pas bien déroulé, problème de climatisation, le personnel ne parle pas anglais donc il est très difficile de communiquer, le petit déjeuner n'est pas à la hauteur d'un 5 étoiles. Je ne reviendrai pas!

The Chateau Hotel/Resort was way better in every respect than we ever could have expected. From its splendid "palatial" construction to its more than comprehensive resort facilities (tennis & badminton courts, indoor/outdoor pools, gym, wellness centre etc etc to its wonderfully helpful and friendly staff as well as its quality Chinese (Shanghai style) restaurant. Set in a quiet leafy area about 6 kms from the city centre it was refreshing to hear the birds singing from our balcony in the morning .. Geoff & Annie from Melbourne Australia

Når man bor på et 5-stjernet hotel forventer man ikke at skulle betale for at købe en svømmemaske for at få lov at bruge poolen. Et 5-stjernet hotel bør ligeledes have barista kaffe eller som minimum en bedre variant med cappuccino og café latte. Døren ud til balkonen bør ikke være aflåst.

Dans un style un peu rétro, l’hôtel est exceptionnel, avec un service vraiment haut de gamme. Je n’ai pas eu le temps de tester les installations sportives mais la liste est impressionnante et semble bien fonctionner. La resttest OK, sans plus. Très bon rapport qualité prix.

Full on chateau

Well folks, hear me out. Went for business to Shanghai and some good times, perhaps see a full-on chateau from an ancient dynasty on the way. I’ll be damned when we walked into this place. Never expected a true five- star chateau in Shanghai, dreams come true. Great experience. Checkin went perfect, except for the decline on my card. But hé, not the hotels fault. Got creative and figured it out together.. Room wonderful too. Reminded me of my trailer back at the park with the boys. For sure eye for details. Balcony door was locked, but the friendly staff opened it right away. From check in to relaxation on the balcony with a blunt: less than 5 mins. My kind of place. Too bad I couldn’t test out my new bikini. Forgot the shaver, but even worse: the most surrounding the chateau was empty. Not sure what happened, perhaps the recent typhoon sucked it all up. Anyway, that is the only thing that sucked figuratively. Went into town for some literal action and got lost. Woke up in Beijing, Forgot to check out, but great overall experience. 5 points and see you next time.

サイドテーブルが足が不安定な状況で、そのテーブル上に湯呑、コップが置いてあり、手を少しついたらテーブルが傾いてコップ、湯呑が落ちて割れました。私は怪我をする可能性がありました。フロントの人は私に弁償金を請求して書面内容を説明しないでサインするように言われて私はカードで支払いしました。日本のホテルはこのような場合、絶対に弁償金を請求しません。
