The city of Armamar is quite sleepy and small. For us, this location was wonderfully convenient for the wineries we were visiting. But if you are hoping to walk around at night for night life, this may not be the town for you. The PINTA boutique hotel was beautifully decorated and in great condition. The staff was also communicative, and there is a small but convenient free parking light just behind the property. My husband actually took a job interview (via Zoom) from the common area/breakfast room. We wish we could have stayed here longer, because we really enjoyed our stay and spacious, beautifully decorated room. And the price can't be beat. FYI, our room and many others have only a curtain separating the sleeping area from bathroom. So just know there is less privacy than a solid door when using the toilet.

Beautiful renovated property inside while maintaining the rustic charm of the stone houses that are so traditional in this part of Portugal:) beautiful views overlooking the Douro valley . Right in the center of town and walkable for restaurants :) very friendly staff

If you’re looking for a place with amazing views where you can unwind and relax then this is your place. The Pinta Boutique Hotel is located in an ideal location to be able to enjoy spectacular views of the vineyard lined mountains. Ana & Carla are both amazing hosts and super helpful, personable and hospitable. Would definitely recommend!

Pousada excelente,no centro de Armanar, tem todas as comodidades a uma pequena caminhada de distância. Uma ótima opção para quem quer passear pelo alto Douro vinhateiro.

The staff here were amazing. The property is very nice, the room was perfect with a small deck for enjoying your free time. The breakfast was well worth the money , nicely presented and everything you could want. I would definitely stay here again. The downfall is there is not a lot to do in this town but if you have a car you just drive to wherever you want to go.

Boutique-iful

Small hotel on a quiet hill top town a short drive from the bustling town of Peso do Regusa Large comfortable and clean room with a small seating area outside great for the summer heat. Breakfast was full of variety and well presented in a separate lounge area A few thoughts to help other guests… You will need to contact the hotel and set an arrival time as there is no front desk. If you are traveling without data on your phone you will need to do this whilst you are connected to WiFi. The only negative thing I can comment about The Pinta is that the bathroom has a curtain to protect you from partner’s explosive noises. Other wise 10/10

A wonderful stay

A nice authentic building was an amazing view of a wine country. The host was super friendly and tried to help with everything. I will definitely stay there again if I come back to this region.

Quintessential Douro Valley stay. Breathtaking views from this beautiful boutique hotel. Staff are beyond accommodating. People often say it’s not the places you go, it’s the people you meet . In this case , it was the place we stayed that made this holiday memorable. Love Love Love The Pinta !
