Check in consisted of an envelope by the front door containing keys for all the people arriving that day. The first time we stayed we were given the wrong room and were asked to move. Which we did. To accommodate 3 ladies who had been booked into out first room. Not sure what would have happened if we had refused to move. Apart from this incident we had no contact with the staff. Breakfast is clearly mentioned on the website but was not on offer. If you want a cheap place to stay, tired furniture and fittings, reasonable location. Then this is for you. Oh. And dont forget the very beautiful but steep and twisty staircase.

The address made it difficult to find on maps. I had to recalibrate several times and finally park and ask a staff member at another guest house who didn't know where it was located either. I was unable to access the continental breakfast and there was no staff person on site. Unfortunately, having only access to wifi communications, I was unable to reach anyone by phone. I happened to find my key for check in by chance, looking down and finding all of the guest keys in a tub at the front door. Not well secured! While the location made it easy to get around in Oban's City Center, I did not find my stay in the guesthouse one of my better stays in Scotland.

Host was lovely and room was very well situated in town. Room was very clean and comfy. Breakfast was optional but not expensive and great valve and great food. Car park was safe and able to pay fir few days at once. Loved the area and would go back in a heartbeat, thanks

Room was very clean. Bathroom was very small. Nowhere to put toiletries. Awkward. Seemed a lot of effort had gone into upgrade, but everything was cheap. Not at all what I expected for the cost. Would not stay again for that reason.

The host was very kind. The room was clean but the furniture and bedding was very outdated. The bed had an older mattress and it was squeaky and lumpy. It could be a cute place if it was updated. The furniture was worn and old and not attractive. The room felt very sad to be in. The TV was from the 1980s and super small.

Great property and hosts. Breakfast provided was spot on. My only complaint was the toilet in our unit. It did not flush most of the time. We had to remove the cover and fiddle with the components to get it to flush.

Basic but good breakfast. And excellent shower in the room, if a little cramped. Friendly owner and staff. Helpful as well. Not much in the way of private parking, but a public car park only a few yards away. I'm not sure of the price. Loads of restaurants and bars nearby all similar prices. Nothing to complain about generally. Felt reassured and safe in the property even when there was an incident outside one night. Police were in attendance. Don't know what happened. Not anything to worry about.
