Needs a lot of improvement

Reception was very poor. Rooms were avaliable but we could not check in until 5. Receptionist was unfriendly. Rooms, especially bathroom, need thorough cleaning. You will see mold and mildew and the vent is a mess. We tried to watch the television but the reception was very bad and we couldn't watch it. Besides breakfast, we would recommend eating elsewhere. The 2nd floor patio was pleasant. It is walkable to the ferry but there are nicer options.

As of Feb 2025...

This convenient hotel is right on a main boulevard and allows for easy transit around the island, whether by rental car or in a safari. That proximity does, however, mean that you'll hear the road noise, especially of the hot-rodders. The property is still in recovery from Hurricanes Irma & Maria and are also doing some renovation so a few things may be missing from the room like the iron, board, clock or telephone. the staff are responsive when you alert them to issues. Breakfast in the on-property restaurant was delicious but the staffing has been impacted by recent US immigration drama; the remaining staff do their best and are of good humor, despite the increase in their workload. There is a grocery within easy walking distance as well as some local food trucks and small restaurants in the area. The view from the bay-side rooms is unbeatable!

Very disappointed

Very disappointed. This room was booked for myself , my wife and our 4 Month old baby. Day 1 we checked in and floor was sticky . Called front desk to get another room or get it cleaned they said no other room available. was told room would be cleaned following day . Ended up wiping the floor myself .. See the condition of the towel after i just passes it once over the floor . Day 2 : At 8am i went to front desk to confirm the room would be cleaned . We returmed later that night and room still not cleaned , no towels .. called again only to get an apology and they promised to clean the room on day 3 .. Day 3 : when we returned the room was somewhat cleaned but only to realize that the dirty towels we left on the edge of the bed for them to take and replace were the same towels they neatly folded back in the bathroom as if they were fresh clean . I was really disappointed in this stay .

Avoid at all costs

I rarely leave reviews but i need to warn other travelers. It all started with a terrible chick in process... The check in process chaos and nobody got their rooms before 530pm, i got mine at 630. There were about 30 people waiting to check in but they were understaffed so the chdck in was severely delayed. They offered nothing for the wait, when there ia a full bar on site most guests were sitting at waiting for chdck in. There was also no logic to assignmmet of rooms so you had to keep going back every few minutes to ask. I have never seen something like this, let alone for 300 usd a night they charge. The staff was careless, clearly overwhelmed, unprepared and without any interest in making an already disastrous process eve worse. The rooms are large but the furniture is a mix and match of old and old fashioned pieces. The stucco walls made it all look dirtier and mire full of dust. The place has an overall run down look. The bathtub has dark scratches, the furniture is also scratched. The worst part esp if youre alone, is the noise at night. The constant coming and going of people, the screaming and yelling and the super loud music outside in the street by the hotel which was not a one off as per my conversations with many other travelers who had stayed theee before while waiting for our room.to be ready. I was woken up twice by a couple yelling and smashing doors upstairs and at one point i considered 911. A scary, unpleasant and terrible value for money stay

The place is under some construction, but that wasn't the biggest issue. Do not stay in rear rooms, especially on a weekend night. There is a locals bar just behind the hotel with loud music, cars, and people until 2 AM. There is also a family of at least 3 roosters that live out back that'll greet you at 5:30 am! I will say the place was clean, the rooms were clean, so I'll give them that. Just don't expect a good nights sleep in the back rooms.
