[Good points] The view from the window and terrace of the room is amazing, with the ocean, mountains, and the city of Hilo spreading out in a vast way. The front lobby has a wonderful atmosphere with the sea breeze blowing through and Hawaiian songs being played. When I take a nap on the beach chair in the courtyard, I can only hear the waves, wind, and birds. It feels like I'm in another dimension.
[Bad points] ① I was shown to a very small room of about 17 m2 with only a shower. When I checked the reservation confirmation email, I found that I had reserved a 34 m2 room with lanai, ocean front, and bathtub, so when I asked the front desk to change it, they told me that it was fully booked. It was very small and inconvenient with only a shower. Three days before checking out, I searched for a vacant room on the Expedia website myself, told the front desk, and was able to change to a 34 m2 room with a bathtub. I looked at two rooms, but the bathtub faucet in both rooms had been removed and could not be used. Also, the hotel never contacted me about a room becoming available. I negotiated to have breakfast included for three days as an apology, but they told me to ask Expedia.
