Stayed in the corner room which is very hot and the room aircon was not cold enough. The hotel is a short walk from the railway station where we stay a night before heading to Sukhothai.

Comfortable enough for value of money.
I heard it was old and so many bad things about this hotel but it was comfortable, good enough to stay one night transit from Udon thani to Sukhothai.

Creepy Hotel
I chose this hotel because of its location - close to a train station and night/morning markets. I knew the hotel was quite old but didn't expect that horrible conditions. The lobby and hall way are very dark and unwelcome atmosphere (photo images of booking sites/own website are TOTALLY different from the actual). The first room, I couldn't close a window and felt unsafe, so switched the room to another. The second room, I smelled and found a black mold bathtub mat at the bathroom... The room (901/904) was not renovated or maintained at all. I regretted choosing this hotel and definitely not to recommend. [stayed on the 9th floor, in early September 2018]

Clean sheets, air con work, hot shower. Very basic but good for the money. They haven’t redecorated since 1978, from the looks of things so it has a run down feel to it. Free WiFi and parking, and easy walking distance to train station, river, local market, etc.

Very old property and tatty. Room is very smelly with dirty old carpet. Friendly staff but poor command in English.

The location and value are perfect and old style colonial hotel with character , we have stayed many times but unfortunately the condition of the hotel deteriorates slightly every year much like old hotels in uk city centers ....

Good hotel for layover.
A small walk away from the bus station. Night market a similar walk away by the river. Wats also within walking distance. Airconditioning was nice on a hot day.

Value hotel located near markets & train station
I was in Phitsanulok for about 1.5 days as a transit point between Sukhothai and Bangkok, and I stayed in Amarin Nakorn during this time. The hotel's location is very convenient, being only within 5 minutes' walk away from the Train Station, Ruamjai Market, the Night Food Market and the Night Bazaar. The folklore museum and the temples, albeit on opposite directions from the hotel, are also within 20 minutes' walk from the hotel. The quality of the hotel and rooms are of average quality, but for the very competitive price I paid, it was fully worth it. My room was sufficiently spacious and comfortable. The staff were also very friendly and helpful, and the hotel also provides in-room massage service, which was of very good quality!

Hotel to stay before overnight train
To be honest the price is very cheap and relatively acceptable in terms of cleanness. We didn't stay there for overnight but choose it as a stop over before our overnight train back to Bangkok.

Value plus
This hotel is a 5 minute walk from train station, local food market, river easy stroll of 10 minutes with eating options. Very friendly neighbor hood. Thai people very helpful. Checkin was simple. This is an old hotel but very good value for money with clean Linen, kettle in room.

Creepy and old... But convenient
You stay there only for convinience. It's old and creepy... It's sad because the girls at the front desk were super nice and helping.

Great location
Older big hotel in a good location. Handy to the railway station, night bazaar, markets and street food.

Okay
Biggest plus was allowing us to check in early. Minus was charging for bottled water at breakfast and the limited breakfast menu. They waived the cost of bottled water after my husband spoke to management. If the water cost money there should have been a sign in front of it in the breakfast area. The room was clean and the staff were friendly. Very pleased to see a Gideons Bible on the bedside table.

Friendliness and warm welcome of the hotel staff.
The hotel's facilities and decorations cannot be completed with other new hotels all around because the hotel was built for more than 40 years. I can assure that all the basic elements in room can serve your needs. The staffs show their attitude towards services for customers are what I am impressed. Thanks for your friendliness and warm welcome.

Close to everything.
Best place to stay. Hotel maybe a little older but it's close to everything!! Just a few steps outside the hotel there are places to eat, drink and shop.

If possible, try to find another hotel
Rooms are dirty and infested with ants and a very old hotel. Location is however very central and convenient.
