Great location less than 10 minutes to town one way & the same to the pier the other way with free parking. No reception everything is done via WhatsApp which wasn’t a problem for us. Nice comfy bed & good sized room.

Loved the room and the view. Very comfortable but no heating. (Sept). Fine the first night but was cold the second night. Light breakfast was help yourself. Was ok but would have been better if they had plates for your toast and metal cutlery. All cutlery was wooden and cardboard dishes for cereal. Didn’t put us off though. Had a lovely time.

Clean, comfortable, quiet room just five minutes walk from the centre of Ambleside. Arrived by 555 bus from Kendal, the stop is just outside. Instructions for check in were clear and comprehensive. Would definitely stay again.

Great stay in Ambleside - would definitely recommend and will be staying again. Misplaced the room key and the staff responded almost instantly through the WhatsApp contact and replaced within minutes - couldn’t fault them! The breakfast was basic but what we expected, toast to set us up the day. Only recommendation for our room, 15, would be some drain unblocker for the shower! Everything had been thought of, especially for the hot weather with multiple fans and a small aircon unit!

On the positive side the property was clean, the room was large and well furnished, very comfortable bed, easy to access parking, good location within walking distance of Ambleside and the Lake... On the negative side there are no visible staff on site and all communication is by Whatsapp. If your booking service says there is a bar, lounge and restaurant - there isn't. The 'light breakfast' is a choice of 2 cheap cereals, white bread (toaster), butter. jam, a bowl of apples and a bowl of hard boiled eggs. plates are cutlery are disposable. There are free tea bags, nescafe sachets and milk sachets. If you want machine coffee you have to pay for it with credit card. It depends on your expectations, but we felt for what was offered it was over priced.

Strange set up. Pretty much no staff involved at any point, suggests you have to check in by a certain time but check in is via key box so no person actually needed. Room was on the small side but comfortable and shower was powerful but very odd shape. All signage is to old hotel name - Fisherbeck, which confuses for finding it. Breakfast very basic, wouldn’t count it towards value of booking.

The room was quite clean and the instructions to enter the property were quite clear. Parking can be a little tricky as it gets filled up during night time outside the property. However, there are options to park your car nearby. Overall, the stay was great as the room was comfortable and clean with a great view.

Everything was amazing and so easy. Received great instructions the day before check in with videos etc. The check in process was a doddle, as was checkout. The comms via whats app was so efficient. I requested the chance of a later check out and they managed to extend this to 11:30 no questions asked. Room was stunning, bed was SO comfortable and it was less than a 10 minute walk into Ambleside. Also highly reccommend the stone baked pizza hut next door - AMAZING!!!! Would most certainly stay again
