The property was in an excellent location. Walking distance from grocery stores, restaraunts and a wonderful walking path along the Duoro. Having an outside patio with a view of the river was was a relaxing place to spend our time. The patio furnature was comfortable, the swimming pool was refreshing. The beds and couch were comfortable. Carla and her husband were kind hosts bringing us bottles of wine and fruit from their garden. They were prompt at answering Whatsapp each time we reached out. The VRBO enters from the bottom of the property with about 6 steep stairs to get up to the entrance. We had some difficulty finding the property as it didn't seem to have an address. It was difficult to direct taxis to the property for this same reason. Carla was able to help with this in the end and I would recommend asking for her help. There is construction of a retaining wall along the river in front of the house but it was not noisy. The location was quiet overall. We loved our stay and would recommend it to anyone.
