5ヶ月の乳児含む4人家族で泊まりました。日本領事館に用事があり、近かったのでこちらのホテルに決めました。広々としていて清潔で、快適に過ごせました。ベビーベッドは貸してもらえましたが、電子レンジはダメでした。壁が薄いのか外の声がよく聞こえます。気になる人は気になるかも・・・。歩いていける距離に日本料理店があり、良かったです。

We live in Houston yet when we have events downtown we always look to stay @ the Hyatt Downtown Location. We have stayed @many other hotels in the downtown area, but we seem to love the Hyatt. The door knob going out of the "Dressing" area came off in my hand and I was nearly locked in there. All the Chrome was missing from the door knob coming out of the Shower/Toilet. Hotel itself is fine--pretty standard convention center-type hotel that business travelers see all the time. My only real comment is that it is VERY noisy, due to the construction. A LOT of people hang out in the lobby, and the central open air lobby conducts 100% of the noise upstairs. It was loud INSIDE my room, and I was on the 19th floor.

Overall the hotel was in decent shape. The room was small but clean. The locking latch had been broken off the door. At 1am and again at 2 am I was jarred awake by a drunken woman calling and claiming her husband had been checked out of my room earlier and his things were in my closet. She claimed hotel staff was on the way up to collect his things. […] My assurance that the only thing in my closet was my pistol seemed to cure that issue. Both times I was at the desk there were guests arguing and complaining loudly. Overall a poor experience. Shula's was a pleasant counterpoint to the rest of the hotel. Overall it was a nice experience but we can to this hotel specifically because it had a heated outdoor pool. Our 3 yr old son was upset that the pool was so cold :(

Now this may seem exaggerated but I assure you it's not. I had room service several times during my stay at this hotel and the quality was fantastic! I've never had better room service food before in all of the places I've stayed at. The chefs took pride in everything on their menu and had no complaints on anything. I was on the 27th floor thinking this would be plenty high enough to muffle any noises from the bar below. I was wrong. The noise seemed to travel up the atrium and right through the doors to your room. They did leave ear plugs though next to the bed which was nice. The heater in the room didn’t work quite right so the room stayed a little too cold, oddly, if the heater was left on. Basically, the heater would often start blowing cold air. Turning the heater off actually made the room pretty comfortable. The included breakfast was confusing, because they were renovating Shula’s Steak House at the time - winter […] 2012 - and didn’t have the buffet up and running. So, we ended up paying a little bit for the breakfast that should have been free, but not a big deal since we’d rather not do a buffet anyway. Why can’t hotels just have an affordable breakfast on a menu? The hotel itself is rather stunning and I have to recommend it just for the experience of the gigantic atrium. I wish all hotels were built like this. It is awesome. We loved the open feel of it. The location was pretty good. I’m not sure if we were supposed to park in the Houston Pavilions parking garage, but we did. For $5 every time we went in and out. We always went in after 6pm. We think the $5 is either a mistake or that we weren’t supposed to overnight it for the several days that we did, but who knows? The terms weren’t real clear for the parking garage. I stayed at the Hyatt Regency during and prior to a job interview in Houston. For the vast majority of my visit, the staff were exceptionally friendly and willing to help. Pricilla at the front desk, especially, was always very kind and helped me with several requests. There was one employee at guest services who was rude, however. When I inquired about […] the shuttle, she told me that this was a "businessman town" and only "businessman needs" would be addressed, probably assuming that I was on holiday since I was not dressed in business formal attire. The facilities and the rooms were very nice. The workout room was very well equipped with new equipment, fresh towels, and is constantly being cleaned. On my last night I had to move to the 8th floor, and the quality of my room was significantly lower than in my 12th floor room, though both were the same type of room. It was primarily louder (because of the noise from the lobby), some of the outlets couldn't be reached, and I am led to believe that a service elevator or stations was located near my room based on the constant dinging noise and activity. The Hyatt Regency is a great hotel if you plan only a short stay. We stayed for 7 nights and although the room was excellent, a good gym, nice pool and the staff very good, the little things that can make a difference were missing. We stayed friday to friday and were disappointed to find on friday,the main bar was shut at 10.30pm, on saturday it shut […] at 11.00pm even though there were plenty of guests requesting its services. From Sunday until we left it did not open again and the only bar available was in the on site restuarant! You may wonder why the fuss, well what the tourist guides and hotel info do not tell you is that although Downtown Houston has lots of restuarants and bars is that the majority shut by 9pm as they cater for the demands of the business people who work downtown during the day! After a day sightseeing and driving its nice too relax in the late evening at the bar and have a quiet drink or two with your travel campanions.There are other districts, but that means a taxi or long walk which we did, but after a long day you sometimes just want to stay local and relax. Another disappointment was that this hotel charges $9.95 a day for Wifi access which considering where it is and the type of client they target is quite unbelieveable, also be aware the cheapest charge for a days parking here is $15.00, valet parking is $30.00!! Hyatt is always comfortable, but everything is an extra charge. Extra for internet, no refrigerator, high fee per day for parking (with no nearby alternate choices) breakfast extra. This was not as good of a deal as I had anticipated.

Excellent hotel with friendly service and clean comfortable rooms. The food and service was very good at the resturants. My stay was for 5 nights and it was a very plesant stay. I had the business plan rate which included the breakfast buffet, free wifi and free calls anywhere in North America.

Me and my wife really enjoyed this hotel. Upon checking in we were upgraded to a better room that was available and the service throughout the stay was great. Would recommend this hotel for anyone.

Stayed here twice. I love this hotel. Its very convenient. The only thing is that you have to pay for parking which is quite a bit. however it will be worth it. the valet will bring your car in and out. the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I will stay here again and again.

Staff very helpful and friendly. They really tried hard to ensure we had everything we needed including fresh English tea at breakfast and were at pains to make our tea in the way we instructed. Shula's restaurant rather expensive for evening dining but bar meals more reasonable.

The issue I have with this hotel is the noise level. They built the rooms around an atrium and the noise carries all the way up to the 16th floor. A great idea would be to put canopies, etc. down below to neutralize it. The staff, room, and free breakfast were all great. The valet was pricey, but I've come to expect that with hotels downtown.
