The Malarhorn Guesthouse was a lovely spot to spend the night. Very nice room (and big!), very friendly and helpful staff, good food in the restaurant in a tiny little town. We could have happily stayed a few more days.

For a very remote area in a very tiny town, our stay was exceptional. The food prepared in the guesthouse was excellent and the rooms are very clean and comfortable.

Overall a nice place to stay. Staff were great. Our room in the shared accommodation side was a bit too tiny though.

The property was cute. It is a shared guesthouse but the rooms were very cute and 2 nice clean restrooms. The food at the restaurant was great!! The hot tubs along the water were a very nice treat. The hot one was perfect.

Ocean side resort
The resort is excellent and lo ates right on the ocean. Had a few issues getting in to our room since its off season, staff is not onsite, and we were to let ourselves into our room. Some other people staying in the same building as us also left the common areas messed up. A quick phone call resolved all our issues and the resort upgraded us to a larger room because of the mess. In the end glad we chose the place and would recommend it to others.

It’s was a beautiful place near some incredible hotspots with amazing views.breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend!
Juliann, 1-night trip

We did have our room emailed to us beforehand for self checking (October stay) and it was then moved to a completely different building and room type upon arrival. Booking stated breakfast was included but that is not true for stays in the off season, which started October 1st. Without both of these the property would have been a 5 for us otherwise, it was great.

This was my best room so far in Iceland of 5 nights traveling around to a different location each day. Delicious halibut dinner. Top quality. Staff were eager to help & friendly. Gave me excellent tips for viewing Aurora Borealis. Saw them from midnight to 1 am. While having breakfast, watched humpback whales spouting & breaching in the distance. New & super clean public hot poos beside accommodations. I had the pool & hot tubs to myself I would highly recommend this place!!!

Clean and comfortable
Clean and comfortable. Bed was against a wall with a sloping ceiling. Impossible to sit up in bed.
Carol, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Clean units, feels very new. Room was comfortable. They have a restaurant on site and they’ll do your laundry for a nominal fee. Staff is very hospitable. Travelocity mis-communicated the amenities. Some rooms have a shared kitchen, others don’t. Recommend calling ahead to ask staff, which room you have if you’re hoping to use a kitchen.

Very Basic Property
Property is very basic and lackluster. No TV in the room. The surrounding area is very sparse.

Nice room, clean and large. The restaurant let us sit and have beers past closing. Met wonderful people from Iceland & Austria. We had a great time. Hot pots at the ocean front was beautiful.
