This was our first time in Japan, we only knew a smattering of Japanese and were getting to grips with the Tokyo transit system. The first convenience which we really appreciated was how close the apartment was to its nearest station - Komazawa Daigaku, a ten minute walk around the corner. Which subsequently is only a ten minute commute on the Den-Entoshi Line to Shibuya Station which you'll likely be passing through a lot.
We stayed for two weeks in the 2nd floor apt and were grateful for all of the amenities - two toilets, a decent shower & bath tub, a sensible kitchen including a washing machine & dryer which came in very handy and ample living space for the 4 of us. The futon beds were acceptable, not as soft as what we're used to here in the west but after a busy day's sightseeing they were just fine.
Also worth noting is that the apt is on the same street as two supermarkets if you need light groceries, a pharmacy and two very nice ramen diners. Its even a gym if you happen to play Pokemon Go.
Its worth noting that there is no front desk or staff here if you need help however whenever I had any enquiries before and during our stay they were very quick to respond and were helpful, the check in with a security code was also super easy.
I highly recommend staying here if this is your first trip to Japan as it is very good value for money and an easy base to return to as you take in the local culture.
