2/10 Poor

You should only stay here for the price and for any comfort. There are no comforts here. The room was small. The bed was so uncomfortable. The floors were not so clean. The shower was snug. I did not enjoy my stay.

6/10 Good

The room itself was very basic but clean. The area is noisy. The windows were effective in shutting out most of it. The ductless heat pump provided a nice temperature. Considering the price, the room was okay. The hotel’s outside appearance (especially at night, dark, dirty and gloomy on a back street with homeless sleeping on the sidewalk across from the hotel), the lobby and elevator were a bit shocking. Our first reaction was that we made a mistake in choosing the hotel. It seems that nothing has been tidied in decades - not true to the listing photos taken in better years. Yet only one block away, the lively Piazza Giuseppe Garibaldi teems with good restaurants and shops. And it was very easy to transport our luggage to and from the train. One of the desk clerks we interacted with over our four day stay was friendly, the other was gruff and made a point of telling us they understood only Italian, meaning don’t look for help on their shift. In summary, we found the hotel a very mixed bag. It could easily improve, or sink further down the ratings.

This property is well located close to the train station and public transportation. It’s kind of old and not renovated. But it was fine for a place to lay our heads and was clean. There are several restaurants nearby, including another hotel next door that serves a buffet breakfast including eggs and bacon for 10€. We were very excited about that. There is also a laundry mat right around the corner with a café across the street that was very handy at this point in our journey.

The room was similar to pictures, a bit small, but had ample storage for clothes. Bed was comfortable. Staff was helpful, check in and out was easy. There's a lift, and staff held our bags on arrival and departure, much appreciated. Access to good restaurants nearby. Great for short stays, close to train station and subway access. A small fridge would be recommended to improve quality had we stayed beyond one night.

Great location, adequate accommodation.
The location of the hotel is excellent. There are many very good restaurants near by and the train station is a 5 minute walk with luggage. The staff were friendly and as helpful as the could be with a language barrier. The place is tired and in need of a renovation.

Nice hotel but address is not as listed
The people are very nice. But know this, the address is not as listed in Hotels.com. It is on the same street but at 22. When we couldn’t find it we called, and a man walked a couple of blocks to get us. The woman speaks English but the man didn’t. But one did speak Spanish. We arrived early and could leave our luggage. The hotel is clean. The room has room for twins, bathroom, luggage for two. We had a window that opened to the street. The hotel is about three blocks from the main train station. It was an easy walk even with luggage. There are lots of restaurants and shopping in walking distance. The HotelStar is two blocks away and this is where a lot of yours pick you up.

Very Basic but good location
No fridge in the room, the tv is very small and poor. Its quite noisy outside and there are ants aplenty on the floors. The room is a spacious size, however the toilets to not have toilet seats which is far from ideal if youre travelling with women or need to empty your bowels. They sometimes ask for your room key if you leave the hotel in the morning which is sketchy too. We opted to keep our belongings locked in our luggage carriers in our rooms to be safe. The rooms smell very bad too due to the drainage - the sinks dont have a plug which may contribute, but theres a constant sewerage smell in the rooms which is not nice but you get used to. The staff are not unpleasant and we had no Issues with them. The location is well situated for the central station, only a 4 minute walk away. The streets around the main square however are dingy, dirty and don’t feel all that safe. We heard a woman scream and a body of a homeless man being thrown onto a pile of black bags nearby on a walk down the main road as people walked on by. The area isnt the best. The hotel itself isnt amazing but cheaper than most - very much a you get what you pay for experience.

Not impressed. Dirty floors.
This hotel had great reviews, but I was not impressed. The floors were very dirty, hair from previous guests. And the big heavy blanket in the closet smelled.

We love the promptness of the place… We decided to patronize the place and make a reservation just about an hour before getting there… When we got there we ran about four times and then we had to call telephone number placed at the door …. the owner responded from far way but suggested that we call Danila… Danila Appeared quickly and was extremely kind and helpful… She opened a hotel for a senior became quickly a parent we were the only patrons.. She gave us a beautiful room facing the main Square and suggested we watch the procession of the patron saint from there… What a lovely suggestion it was one of the most beautiful things we did in the south… The procession and the fees for Saint Dionigi went on for our session and we delighted in it… Also some towels were missing and she promptly dispatched her husband to fetch son and he came back with them enough time… Would we come back to this place? Of course without even thinking… it was a delight to be there…

The gentleman, Andrea that checked us in was very sweet and friendly. We only stayed the night as we flew in late and were heading back out the next morning. The room was very clean and comfortable. The only thing was that the WiFi did not reach to the room, it only worked in the lobby.

Great location for traveling and for a walk around the city. Obviously wouldn't be ideal for a romantic getaway or family vacation but if you're in Naples for a short time and need access to the airport/train station then this place is ideal! Staff were lovely, hotel was clean although getting a bit worn down. The elevator is like something from a black and white movie! I love it!
